240 quality, thick Pages packed with Artistic Packaging for many figures shown! Separated chronologically in order of years released, from 1983 to 1997's Machine Wars just after Beast Wars. The author also describes a good amount of detail on most pages with paragraphs accompanying the photos taken.The packaging shown in this book was the main selling point for me when buying this mid-range priced Collector's book, as a big fan of the art and packaging of Transformers figures and vehicles over the years. While not every figure's packaging is featured, a large percentage of packaging is shown, intact and in great shape in a reasonable size to appreciate each detail. The figures are shown in robot mode mostly, separated in small photograph boxes.As far as design, the book is fairly basic, with simple photographs of figures and packaging, but fun to read. Images aren't fancy in design, sometimes low contrast, but still nice to see a good range of Transformers within their original packaging. That is what I wanted to see and this book delivers big time, more than any other book I've been able to find new on the book market at this time.

I love all the photographs in the book, it’s a great reference book. Very thorough. For a collector or someone who wants some nostalgia this book is a must.

My 11 yr old grandson loves Transformers so this book was a perfect addition to his growing collection of Autobots and Decepticons...but the best part when he opened this book was seeing my son (his dad) who is 38 yrs old, flipping the pages of nostalgia. The book has info and pics of Transformers NEW and OLD so it really is the perfect gift for anyone who wants to know more about these wonderful robots that were popular back in the 80' and 90's and are STILL popular today. Fantastic book

The pictures don't look like they were taken by a professional, and the presentation is basic. The captions are red text in a thin font on white, which isn't easy to read. Grey backgrounds for the pictures, not white like reviewers use, and the lighting isn't good. It looks like a scrapbook made in Photoshop. But it's a nice way to check out all the vintage TFs, and the only option I could find for that.

Reminds me of the feeling I had as a kid looking at the original foldout toy catalogues. Beautiful photos, plenty of depth and completeness without being overwhelming. I like the very pictorial approach. This book made me happy.

This book contains so much information and pictures that a child from the '80s and '90s will be in heaven remembering the good old days. Why can't toys today be as fun as the Transformers of old?! The funny thing is Hasbro is re-releasing some of the old toys from then. I have to remind myself I'm not a kid anymore. This book was not for me but one of my sons who seems to have born in the wrong decade. He eats up this information and likes to quiz me. Pure nostalgia.

Ce livre est un incontournable pour les fans des Transformers ! Il montre de façon exhaustive tous les jouets Hasbro, Takara et Diaclone sortis entre 80 et 90, soit de la G1 à Beast Wars. J'y ai retrouvé les miens et en ai découvert d'autres que je ne connaissais absolument pas ! Bien qu'écrit en anglais, il n'y a pas de souci de compréhension. Seul petit bémol, les photos sont vraiment petites, il faut parfois une loupe pour saisir les détails. Mais c'est un grand plaisir de retrouver ce monde fascinant !

La guía es una buena compra para fans de los Transformers G1. Muy completa, con fotos de todas las colecciones y textos explicativos. Pero hay una cosa que no me ha gustado y es la escasa protección del producto. Los libros no estaban forrados de ningún papel protector contra golpes y la caja era pequeña y estaba llena de golpes. Los libros vinieron con algún daño. Me imagino que es culpa de la inutilidad del transportista y su poco cuidado a los pedidos. Voy a poner una queja. Por estas cosas, hay que poner cajas grandes y bien protegidas. Sois unos rácanos.
