I was using this pump to move water from a rainbarrel through a short garden hose to water plants. It failed after 3-4 uses, and no longer pumps water when plugged in.

I bought to connect straight to a 24 v solar panel for a DIY backyard bird fountain. Has been working very well for a week- day starts, fountain goes on slowly as light increases, sun sets fountain goes off. Pump is smaller and lighter than I expected. It works great so far and provides a good amount of flow for about 2 ft of straight vertical rise in 1/2 inch PVC tubing. Inlet and outlet connections are 1/2". I wish cord was a bit longer to get farther out of the enclosure I'm using, but I would still buy this one again. Pump data plate says 22 watts.

The pump will start when plugged in while the sun is out, but the following day, the pump will not start until it is unplugged and plugged back in.
