Works great with my window A/C unit!
I’ve been looking for a screen that I could use in conjunction with the window A/C unit. I have been unable to find anything I could use. Then I can across this product and couldn’t be happier. It’s the perfect solution for what I’m looking for and extremely versatile. Instillation: The instructions were easy to follow and satisfying to complete. This product comes in pieces and it’s up to you to completely build the screen. Though it may take about an hour (for me- little to zero handiness) it’s easy for anyone to put together. I would recommend drawing the window out on cardboard first, laying out the cut pieces on magnetic strip, rather than installing one magnetic strip at a time. It was a little difficult to install and measure in my recessed window (see pictures). In the end it worked great and it’s nice to have some airflow in my room again. Plus: - the magnetic mounting makes it easy to take on and off if I want to use my A/C unit. - excellent seal will keep our spiders. - instructions were easy to follow. Deltas: - the magnetic strips were labeled incorrectly. - the magnetic strips and frame pieces are wound up and it makes the screen buckle. You will want to bend the pieces in the opposite direction to straighten out. - you can tell this was put together by a beginner. My measurements were slightly off and makes the screen look a little strange. That’s why I recommend drawing out on cardboard or large paper then cut the pieces. - this is only a temporary fix. This item is great but I would not use it to build screens for my house. It is perfect for those very specific needs... like incorporating a screen with an A/C unit in a city that doesn’t always get that hot (Seattle), but hot enough at times to want air conditioning for sleep. Overall... highly recommended for those unique uses.

More than worth the money
Outstanding! Sometimes I am disappointed in products at this price level, but not this time. I bought this to go over a window in my RV that was not designed for a screen and it worked just right. The self stick magnets really did stick, the frame of the screen really does adhere to the magnetic frame, and the screen is pretty decent. Easy to apply and remove. The kit comes with three temp screen holders so you can apply the frame, but I cut several more out of leftover framing material and it made installation much easier. You need a nice sharp razor knife to trim the screen, scissors for the rest.

Corner strip security may be a concern
The overall process is fairly straightforward. However, to attach the corner clips at the end of the process, you might have to shorten the lengths of magnetic strips so the clips snap on properly. Otherwise, they show an inclination to pop off unless you use some Duct Tape or similar to hold the clips in place. The jury is still out on well these screens will hold up over a period of time, exposed as mine are to outdoor weather conditions.

Fits Any Window
I live in a house that’s so old, the county doesn’t have record of when it was built. With old homes comes non-standard sized windows. It also means that air flow upstairs is EVERYTHING in the warm weather. We have one window upstairs that does not have a screen nor the space on the frame to install an outer screen so I used this to replace it. I took time to meticulously fit this to the window and my goodness, it looks professional. It’s sturdy enough to not let in the birds and wasps and not let my cat out. If you’re hesitant, let me tell you, this does the job in a pinch, looks great, and it can be used to fit non standard windows.

Don’t Bother
Where do I start? The reviews sounded really great, super easy, etc. however, even after measuring my windows and calculating the correct amount of mesh I would need in order to create screens after I made one window. Nothing was sufficient to cover any other window. The materials given at best will cover two small windows and are ridiculously difficult to put together. I wish I could get my money back, but seeing as I’ve already cut and used the product in the hopes that I could actually leave my windows open with the screen on them, is void.

So far so good!
Just installed this yesterday so I can’t speak to durability, but installation was easy and final product is promising! It took me about 15 minutes. One thing to note, as you install the white rubber that holds the screen, be sure it is exactly the length you want before cutting. It slides VERY easily as you press it on and I made the mistake of not double checking before I cut, so ended up about 2 inches short on the top and bottom. Plenty of material to fill in the gap to the corner, but not ideal when it comes to snapping on the corner tabs at the end. All of this is installer error and not product related. Happy enough that I ordered one more for the other window!

Works Well.
The Magnetic Mosquito blind works well and is simple to install. Two Biggest problems I had, which made the job take twice as long, was the paper information sticky tape which which was wrapped around the magnetic tape was stuck to the tape so hard that it would not peel off easily, took me 15mins of peeling and cleaning before the Magnetic Tape was clean ready for use. Second problem, again the Magnetic Tape, was peeling off the Red backing tape. When trying to peel the red tape backing tape off, it would peel off completely, it was a real task to separate the Red peel tape and leave the sticky tape on the magnetic strip, again an additional 15mins to complete the peeling - Total job time 1 hour with 30 mins messing around. But!…product does work well when completed.

Works well
The installation was a bit of pain but once it's put together it does a great job a keeping the bugs out from my bathroom window. However my window is small, 12x15, any bigger and the installation would have been trickier. Overall, I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out.

First time bothering to write a review because I'm so happy!! Thought I was either destined for a stuffy room or a room filled with mosquitos this summer. Not anymore! Simple to install with provided instructions and good amount of material in kit. Fyi, for people with my style of window- simple enough to peel off to open and close window.

Arrived the same day, exactly as described. I've used this same package before on two basement windows last summer, they are still in perfectly good condition - no lifting of the strips, the adhesive attaching the magnetic strips is still in place; the mesh is good; and the only thing I've had to do is push the grooved strip back onto the magnet in one small area because the window frame is a little uneven. I attached these new ones quickly onto another basement window and then an upstairs bathroom window. Last year, I was able to do the basement ones by myself, they were a bit fiddly and awkward because I had to sit in a window well to do it, and the windows were very wide and short, but I managed it alone no problem. This time I had a helper and it was quick and painless. I doubt these are a 20 year solution, but to keep mosquitos and flies out, and my kitty in, they have been a great affordable and easy addition to some older screenless windows. (My cat sits on the window sill complaining that he can't get out, I'm sure if he headbutted it aggressively he could manage but the screen is enough of a deterrent that he hasn't attempted it in a full year for the ones I installed last summer.)

Great product and very easy to install if you measure twice and make sure to use the sticky tabs for screen tautness. Was tricky to find a durable product that made accessibility to the type of window I had. I bought the white one and I’m so impressed. Definitely recommend!

I’m only docking a star because it wasn’t 100% perfect for the sash windows in my home due to protrusions where there are handles (left some excess mesh to take care of this) and because there’s a small lip on the bottom edge of the window, but will absolutely do the job. Assembly and installation appears daunting on first glance for someone like me with ten left thumbs, but was really straightforward. The whole thing looks like it wouldn’t hold together prior to assembly, but stick with it, because it works a charm! A good, very sharp blade is your friend. I cut each piece to rough length and then trimmed as I went. I’d also recommend removing any blinds that may be in situ prior to putting the mesh up. I kept my roller blinds in place because the bracket on which they were installed wouldn’t budge, and it was still possible to install the screen, but removing the blind would’ve made life so much easier. Once everything is in place, removing the mesh to access the window is a cinch, and replacing the screen gives a positive and very satisfying magnetic engagement. Got this just to try out on my bedroom window but will purchase again for other rooms in my home and I’d definitely recommend it to others

This is a great product! Been looking for something easy and removable to just use it during spring and summer to keep all the windows open without flies or spiders coming in and this is perfect!! Very easy to install, practical and removable.
