DPS Capacity 7.5HP 23A 220V, Single Phase to Three Phase Converter, MY-PS-7.5 Should be Used for 5CV(3.7kW) 15A 220V Three-Phase Motor Only, Must be Used For One Motor Only, UL Listed

I used this DPS unit on a 4.8 HP 3-phase Italian motor which was on an old stroke sander, wired for 230 volts. Wiring it up is brain dead simple. It took right off with plenty of power. I solved the rotation issue by switching 2 of the 3 leads for the 3-phase---got it fixed the first time. I thought this was a great / cheap solution--- way cheaper than rotary conversion. So it worked—— HOWEVER— this unit made my sander sound like a freight train (very alarming!) and I knew I was tearing it apart inside. I sent it back, then a local electric motor company made a different solid state converter for me, and that worked, but sounded like a jet engine in my garage!! Finally, I bought an American made rotary phase converter (after much down time) and my sander now runs PERFECTLY SMOOTH, like it should. So, save your time and money and get a REAL converter.

Bought this phase converter to run a 5hp air compressor motor at my residence . Hooked up as per instructions and it works perfectly !

started out ok but now the 5hp motor just stalls under load doesn't blow breaker just stalls

Works although I had to do some changes to my saw to support the lower voltage output, but works well
