Excellent cooktop. The flat side is larger than any pan I own, and the griddle side is perfect for "indoor grilling". I have only had this for a few months, but so far it's been more than I expected. It also heats up quickly. The heat distribution is great and it gets plenty hot to cook just about anything. On the flat side I've cooked pancakes, eggs, hamburgers, tofu and grill cheese sandwiches. On the Griddle side I've cooked sliced tomatoes, asparagus, broccoli, chicken, fish and have even made grilled shish kabobs with shrimp.After cooled, cleaning is a breeze. Pull the electric plug from the grill, then lift it off all by itself and place in the sink. I use a hand held scrub brush with plastic bristles, to clean either side it takes little pressure. Obviously don't use wire bristles, that would destroy the nonstick finish. The grill is dishwasher safe, but I haven't placed it in the dishwasher, yet.Overall, I definitely recommend to anyone.
