The Incredible Incredibell
It's name says it all; a terrific small bell that will fit anywhere on your handlebar and the hammer (striker) adjusts 360 degrees around the bell to suit your preference. Ultimately reliable, it only has one moving part of any consequence (the spring-loaded hammer). One flick of your thumb and you get one fairly loud and clear *ding* of the bell. I like the fact that it sits unobtrusively on my black handlebar until needed. For less than $15 with shipping and applicable sales tax, you can't go wrong buying this bell. I ordered mine from BikeWorldUSA and had it within several days; great service as always from them. Everyone should have this bell on their bike for their own safety and that of the pedestrians around them.

Loud and sassy
If you bicycle the streets of Key West, you need a bell. Not just a polite little tinkle bell. You need one on steroids. But if you want just a tinkle, this one's adjustable and easy to use. You can even adjust where the lever is. Installing it was a little of a pain because it's not intuitive, but once you get that done, you're set. You can have it scream "MOVE", or you can have it suggest "excuse me, I'm coming up behind you, don't be alarmed". Happy with it.

Reliable and worth the purchase
Small and compact but very useful. It certainly gets the attention of others around you letting them know that your coming up behind them. Mounting it on the bike was very easy and straightforward

Not all bells can do all things.
So I'm not sure any bell would really get five stars. Unless it came with a cute bike genie that could cook, who vaporized rude drivers. What this bell is: Single 'ting', loudness variant upon how hard you pull down the thumb lever. It's fast enough to press several times relatively quickly in a row, with increasing loudness, for pedestrians who seem to be walking randomly on a pavement. It has a nice tone to it, and a sort of very faint echo. One hard ting and some people will notice it; repeated tings tend to get the attention of most of the lumpenproles out wandering. The tone or ting or whatever is pleasant enough that people tend to smile at it, or apologize. I have not yet been cursed at, but give it time. What this bell is not: Useful for cars, or idiot drivers. For that, you want a battery-powered air horn. Most cars with the windows rolled up are *not* going to hear you if you ring this bell. SUVs might hear a round penetrating their windows or their thick skulls, but that's about it. This bell is also not magic. Pedestrians who seem unaware of the concept of the universe around them, who have wandered into either reverie, senility, or solipsism, are not going to hear any bell. School vouchers might do the trick, but not this bell. Bell has not rusted yet. It's fairly adjustable, and reasonably easy to install. Will not fit on all handlebars - no bell could.

Does what it is meant to do
I bought this for my grandson (9) and he wanted it because Papa (that's me) has one on his bike. I use it when riding bike/walking trails. Often people don't hear you coming up behind them or they are walking with headphones on. The "ding" is loud enough to let someone know you're there but not so loud as to scare them. Sometimes when we're riding trails he goes on side trips and we get separated. i know he isn't far because he dings his bell for me to hear and I ding mine in return and i know he is just checking out some interesting side trail and everything is okay. I wouldn't have a bike without one of these.

Fine bell
It is a "small" ring bell, it sounds load (relative to its small size) and its just ok.

Great for Lefties
I commute daily on my ebike, mostly on bike trails, so a nice loud bell to warn pedestrians is key. I had a smaller incredibell for 15 years and loved it. I just replaced it with this large one and love it even more. The simple spring mechanism lasts forever. Most importantly, mechanism swivels 360 degrees so it can be used on the left handlebar, where it is out of the way of the shifters and rear brake that often crowd the right side.

Very disappointed.
This bell may have been defective, but here is my experience. We have the smaller Incredibell and it rings loudly and has a good sustain. This "larger" bell has a lower, quieter dull ring that ends quickly. It is worthless as a bike bell. It is also made differently than the smaller bell. It has a small spring on the hammer rather than the plastic bar on the smaller bell. Poor quality, poor sound.

"Ping!" instead of "ding-a-ling".
The bell looks nice if you want a black match for the bears. I find the bell ringer a little awkward to locate while cycling, as it requires a thumb flick, requiring the rider to focus on the bell (could be hazardous). Rather than the more pleasant ding-a-ling with more conventional bells, this one gives a single shrill "....ping!" Not a very pleasant sound, and rather hard on the ears.
