This little gadget is fabulous! I have a doberman. She knows her commands and is generally responsive, but has a stubborn side at times. But this ultrasonic whistle comes in very handy. For example, when walking past the chicken coop. No more charging the coop et watching the chickens scatter. When I push the button, she instantly morphs into the PERFECT dog. Love it!! This is even better than the e-collar, which she would ignore at times. I've already recommended it to other dog owners. Definitely a keeper.

The device did indeed work in emitting the alarm sound meant for human ears (which I heard). I have no idea if the dogs-only sounds worked. I don’t know whether to blame the device or the IQ of my neighbor’s dog — but the dog’s behavior never changed in any way. He never connected the dots, that his barking led to his hearing an annoying sound. Two of us took turns trying to “train” the dog and got nowhere, so I returned it.

Some dogs respond immediately, others it takes time & repeated use & others not at all. I'm an Amazon driver & after getting attacked by a dog I wanted something easy to carry & use that might help deter barking dogs. I've found it works immediately on most small dogs & border collies which isn't surprising to me but on larger breeds it's a mixed bag. Some cock their heads in confusion for a second when they hear it & then keep right on barking & some are not phased at all but some do respond the way I want when I turn on the "human" panic sound. I don't have the same routes all the time but I hope that the ones I see more regularly will learn to shut their traps when I deliver there.

7.19.23: I'm hoping this will help stop our terrier mixes from barking. It just arrived today, & it's charging right now. I did turn it on upon opening it & it seemed to get their attention. UPDATE: this works perfectly. Our only problem with our 13 yo furries was how much they bark when guests come & go & the oven timer rings. We've given this the test, & it works every time. We'll only be using it to stop the incessant barking. It's so much quieter here. I highly recommend this product. Update 6.26.23: if my boys bark, they remember the sound this device makes, & the stop ASAP! Less than a week of using it. There will be more training in unusual situations, I'm sure, but for now, all is quiet here @ home. Worth every penny!

I was having trouble with my fur baby barking and lunging at other dogs and couldn’t ever stop her. I tried a training collar with no results at all and a friend told me about this little gadget and it’s awesome. I now have my furry friend under control and she is even listening better on commands. I highly recommend this product
