It was very easy to put together, they recommend you fasten it to the base but ours is floating in our 'pond'. When the sun shone on it you could hear the pump whirring into action. After a few minuits of short bursts of water we were pleased to see a fountain of water flower up to a height of 40/50cms. The sight and sound of water in our little East London patio is wonderfully theraputic. My only gripe would be that the solar panels, which are an attractive part of the fountain itself, does not store energy and the fountain stops when the sun no longer shines.
