Can it be used at the same time it is charging?

yes,It holds a really good charge I used it all day for 60 minutes and the battery was still on the highest cell meaning it barely used the battery

will pain relief last after the unit is disconnected? if so, how long?

My experience was the pain relief lasted for about two hours. Used the device 2x daily for about 30 minutes each time.

Are the pads reusable

Yes, the pads are reusable but I’m disappointed that the “glue” begins to deteriorate after just a couple of uses.

Does this have a timer to turn off at set length of time?

Yes. Timer can be adjusted to 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 or 60 minutes. Also, you can set each side individually.
