Multi Functioning
I love this bag, its a duffle that collapses into a stuff sack when not in use and its a backpack or a wheely bag when you need to go somewhere with it.It can fit too much stuff so often I'm over weight for checked luggage, that's how large the capacity of this bag is, which makes it perfect when youre not flying and using it to haul things around, and still good when flying, you just need to watch that you do not over load/overpack. It is really durible and can handle the weight but the airlines will charge you.I've flown, boated, motorcycled, camped and more with this bag. I wouldn't recommend it for hiking as there's no hip belt... but it's awesome for off road trecking and for in an airport. When I fly with checked I use this and a backpack, I just grab this off the carousel and drag it behind me, (in wheel mode) If I need to wear it I put the backpack straps on (I always leave them on when not flying) and through it on my back and my backpack on my front... I can even fit through narrow doorways since it's flexible and has no frame.See my (not so ideal) attached picture with this bag (green) in the backpack mode, and my other black backpack on the front. This was for motorcycling.Only downside/tradeoff is in wheel mode it doesn't "stand up right" unless you perfectly packed the contents. Which never happens for me... but that's an okay trade off for me because by design it doesn't have a frame/kickstand/etc which would add weight, bulk and take away from the ability to pack this away.Oh and packing cubes or storage systems are a must because it's basically one large compartment with an additional shoes/backpack straps pocket. -- I use the second pocket to keep my luggage scale as well cause I'm always checking this one and wanting it to be under weight

Hybrid bag, duffle and wheeled
Nice bag. Folds up to a small package. Which had some benefits. Due to that there is no backbone to it. Wheeling to around is not like using wheeled luggage with a stiff back. I would call it a hybrid between a duffel and wheeled. You get the big benefits of wheeled but miss others. Quality appears good. Thin and light but still seems durable for the thickness.UPDATE: It's been 5 years. I go on multiple trips a year, mostly for work. International travel. Bag has some wear on the bottom. I also use a small carabiner to clip the zippers together. It has worn faster than other bags I've had in the past. It's a far cry from the North Face Base Camp duffle in regards to durability. However, I love the bag. When I visit my partner's family in Brazil this bag really shines. The bag weighs almost nothing. We fly down with a lot of stuff. On the way back this bag folds up into it's own pouch and can fit in a carryon or one of our other checked bags. The benefits are huge but not for everyone. Know what you're buying and the tradeoffs you are making. If you need those benefits I recommend this bag. If you do not, then I'd reconsider.

A compromise, but a really excellent compromise.
I got this case for a trip where I had several flights that absolutely limited me to 20 kg (44 lb), and I had a bunch of photo gear (including tripod) that made that a difficult goal. This case is 3.6 lb, which made it possible. The case is a compromise, but it's a really good compromise. True, compared to my North Face Rolling Thunder 30", it doesn't roll as nicely, it doesn't have a rigid back or a pull-up trolley handle, and it's less sturdy. But, it's just over 1/3 the weight, just over half the price, has more capacity (90 vs 80 liters) despite being just a tad smaller, and it packs into a small stuff sack if necessary. The stuff it's made of stood up surprisingly well to a lot of planes, boats, buses, and baggage handlers. It's scuffed, but intact, and I won't hesitate to take it next time. It seems water resistant enough that I wouldn't worry about it in a moderate rain. And, it holds a ton of stuff! I got the blue/gray one, which is attractive and easy to spot on a luggage carousel. It has backpack straps (removable), though I never used them. It also has a excellent handles, both on the side, and two on the top that make it easy to manage two-handed. It has a second compartment that's accessible if the large main section is locked.Because it has no rigid back - just a small rigid piece at the bottom where the wheels are mounted - it probably wouldn't roll well if you don't pack it fairly full. Basically, the contents are what makes it rigid enough to roll well.To summarize, I love my super-sturdy North Face duffel, but this allowed me to bring 20% more stuff and still make weight. I was totally willing to live with the small compromises for that benefit.

The Perfect Duffle
I bought an Eagle Creek day bag in 1996. I have used the heck out of that bag, using it every day to carry everything I needed as an ICU nurse. It was my portable locker!!! It still is as intact as the day I bought it.So when I searched duffle bags with wheels...and the name Eagle Creek came up...it was a no brainer. This bag is as beautiful as it is sturdy and well constructed. Good for Female or Male. Cool design is a plus.Ample space for my 12 day journey. AND it folds down into a 15x9 inch carry case for storage!! Once opened it is more than enough room. The wheels are big with treads, and super designed to fit right into the structure of the bag. I would rate this as overseas travel worthy. It comes in different sizes. The outside is wipeable, easy peasy. The color is great.I love this bag!!! And the price is right. And Eagle Creek always stands by their product, for ever...no matter what.
