This kit has literally everything you will need to start crocheting. It comes with extras for knitting too but not knitting needles so there are some non important items but who complains about extras?The case is small and convenient and will be really nice for a to go bag i will set up for when I'm out and about. the bag for the crochet hooks is kind of plasticy i dont like the feel of it but it does its job I dont think it needed a zipper and a button over that. You get 21 different hooks but 12 of them are super tiny ones that have no handles and are used mainly on thread not yarn. The 9 with handles are the onesi care about. the handles are comfortable and the sizes seem right when comparing them to my other hooks, they crochet nicely with the yarn smooth and no imperfections catching on anything. The stuffing is small but its compressed it will be more than it looks like when you pull it out. The goodie bag full of stitch markers and stitch and row counters and needles it a great start to trying out things to know what you will like for crochet. the ruler is accurate, it's basic I prefer the retractable ones but this one will do for a to go bag. I like the ring but they are not for me, I'm used to not using one so it was too hard to get used to it. These are my favorite scissors, they remain open but when you need to snip you just squeeze them. there are even instructions on how to do basic stitches. the yarn that comes with the kit is scratchy and cheap but it's meant to be a place to start, there are better yarns to get once someone is comfortable with the craft. Definitely buy this for a beginner or even for a cheap travel set.

This crochet set, like many others aimed at beginners, includes a wide assortment of crochet hooks from steel "lace" weight (crochet thread) sized hooks as well as an ergonomic handled set of more standard yarn sizes through a 4 or 5 weight yarn but none for larger "bulky" weight (6+) yarns.Handily the set comes with some sample acrylic yarn MINI skeins that are approx 4 weight (worsted). These are suitable for a few granny squares or stitch practice swatches but not much else as each is approx the size of my palm - my closed fist is larger than the yarn skeins - and the yarn is somewhat scratchy. I prefer to use them for new stitch practice and use full sized commercial or boutique skeins of yarn for consistency of color and more desirable texture for wearable projects.There is a moderately sized outer bag to carry a work in progress or smaller balls or skeins of yarn with your tools, as well as a smaller bag for the crochet hooks and notions to ensure they don't get lost among project items in the outer bag.Something consistent to many of these all-in-one crochet sets, and this is no exception, are a few notions that don't make sense for a crochet kit. particularly I am referring to the knitting notions such as knitting needle end caps, cable knit stitch-keepers, solid (non-opening) stitch markers, and a needle/hook diameter gauge that crochet hook heads don't readily fit into for hook sizing. It's OK to not know what purpose some of these things are for in your crochet journey, almost all companies add knitting notions to their crochet kits if they include notions.

This 95 piece crochet kit by LUCKY SNAIL is AWESOME! I had been wanting to learn to crochet for some time, and this kit finally gave me the push I needed to learn. It comes with EVERYTHING you need to begin crocheting! I so appreciate the assortment of different sized crochet hooks, the assortment of different colored yarn, stitch markers, tapestry needles, scissors, a crochet ring, stitch counter, other tools, and the pretty little bag it all came in! The yarn quality is what one would expect from a kit like this: acrylic, good quality. This finally got me crocheting and I've fallen in love with it! I am so livid. I got this product and opened it today. THERE WAS A COCKROACH INSIDE OF THE PLASTIC BAG THAT ALL OF THE YARN IS IN. It was huge and now it’s somewhere in my home. Unacceptable.

This crochet set was perfect! I am a knitter, but decided to give crocheting a chance. I wanted an all inclusive set good for beginners so I didn't have to buy every individual hook and yarn etc. This set was everything a beginner needs and more and the carrying case on top of it brings it all together and easy to travel with. Love it and it's very giftable for teens.

This would be a great set to buy if you are looking to learn crochet. It has almost everything you need to start out: an array of acrylic yarns, a full set of ergonomic crochet hooks, stitch markers, tapestry needles, fiberfill, crafting scissors and an array of other little odds and ends you may need all wrapped up in a really nice bag.The bag itself is really cute, a sort of palm frond design to it which is really pretty. The quality of the yarn is good as well, its acrylic so it’s a little scratchy but its perfectly suited to amigurumi crafting. The hook set is decent quality and has nice rubberized handles for comfort, they come in an additional little pencil bag to keep them secure and organized.The only thing this kit is missing is a pamphlet showing the basic stitches and some basic patterns. I feel like most beginner crochet sets include this, so it’s an odd item to leave out. You will need to purchase a book on beginner crochet to go along with this set.All in all: this is a good quality starter set with almost everything you need to get started. This will give you the full assortment of tools you need and are of good quality. Plus the little carrying case is honestly adorable.
