Mum loves this device.
Makes putting on support socks a lot easier than the standard NHS devices. Mum showed it to her nurses when recently in hospital and they were all impressed with the design. Easy to use as use your own weight to push foot through sock, so no more strenuous pulling of the socks up your legs.

Very useful.
After struggling to put on compression for a while, this helper makes life much easier, although physical strength is still required. At least, when I have to use 40 mmHg compression ( imagine if you will, trying get your leg into a motorcycle inner-tube) I am able to do so without help from a second person. Removal is also much easier. My only (slightly) negative comment is the width of the foot access. I find this a little tight (having large and broad feet!). May see if I can bend the frame open a bit, without damaging the plastic coating, which would be a disaster. Would suggest not using it standing up (unless you can contort your foot to lie parallel to your leg (as in ballet)). Easier is sitting in a chair, or in my case, on the floor, back against a wall.

Money well spent
Now I've tried it don't know why I've struggled so long. Highly recommend, you won't regret it

Not easy to use
My 90 year old Mother in law couldn't use this so asked to return. They said yes straight away but what a carry on getting my refund. In the end, Amazon had to sort it. Four weeks later, I finally received it.

No good after hip replacement
I found this useless. I bought it because I had a hip replacement and am not allowed to bend more than 90 degrees. Having struggled (and I do mean struggled) to get the compression stocking on to the device, I found that the arms of the device were not long enough to prevent me bending too far. As I live alone this is a problem. It works reasonably well on the other leg (which can bend), once you get the hang of getting the tight stocking on the device. But that's not much use.

Very good piece of equipment.
The applicator for getting my socks on is very good after my knee replacement very easy to use and a quality finished piece of equipment.

Beware if you want this to don a compression stocking. Not suitable.
As one reviewer said the space for the foot is very small and once the calf enters the space the frame is too small for even a user with slim lower legs. Also, once the foot starts to engage with the stocking the frame under the pressure of the compression stocking moves up the leg and so the foot doesn't engage fully with the full foot of the stocking. With the foot half in the foot of the stocking but the rest of the stocking pulled up to the knee - the stocking still has to be eased on to heel fit into the heel. If the user could reach their toe to put on a stocking they would not need this aid. It might be better to get a helper with longer arms as the user also has to bend down to their ankle to grab hold of the handles - and they also need to then in this position bent forward of raising their knee high enough to get their foot into the heel opening. But first they need strong wrists and fingers to pull the stocking down over the frame. This might work for normal stockings but not medically prescribed compression stockings. Once their foot is starting to engage with the opening they need to rock back and tilt the frame up otherwise the back of the "smile" of the top ring digs into the leg. If someone is able to do this then they probably don't need such an appliance. Disappointing as I have to do this everyday for my mother and her compression stocking can not be left off. I don't think this is suitable for a weak person in hands, wrists or arms and with limited ability to bend forward and pull hard and consistently to slide the stocking on.

It is an excellent solid one piece gadget that works 100%
It is extremely easy to use and enabled a person who has arthritis in their spine to put their socks on without any pain. They had increasingly found they were not flexible enough to bend down to put their socks on even when sitting. This has been the first time they have been able to carry out this daily task pain free. They are able to put a sock on with one movement and no further adjustment of the sock is required. Sock changing had been a painful and arduous task before and now can be completed without any apprehension. The sock is placed onto the gadget (as shown in the advertisement) and the person is then able to sit down and
