Johnsons19638 Flower Seeds, CAT Grass-Avena Sativa

Germinated in 3 days and grew very fast, even though its winter and poor light. A week after planting it was already long enough to give to the cat. Has lasted about 2 weeks after that and is now looking a bit sad so will plant some more. Cat liked it but I think will plant with higher density next time to give her more to chew on.Nice dealing with a plant breed for hundreds of years for high germination rates and fast growth, unlike the houseplant seeds I regularly deal with haha.

This is one of my go-to brands for cat grass. Unlike some this is a quality brand available from garden centres. Germination rate is excellent and with enough light and warmth (which can be supplied artificially through the winter) it will quickly sprout and make a good crop of grass for our feline friends.

Excellent product. Fast growing and the cat loves nibbling on it. I try to keep a container of cat grass growing year round and was delighted to see how quickly these seeds filled in the patches in last year's crop.

This picture is after 6 days of growth, sowed the seeds in 3cm of compost and covered with half a cm, kept moist by spraying a little everyday and left them in the window. I am pleased with the results although I may have sown them a little sparsely. These 2 tubs are from half a packet. Will definitely be buying more so that I have a supply for the cats through the winter months.

I was expecting lush spray of grass, but instead it grew sporadically, with a lot of the seeds not germinating.

The seeds germinated brilliantly and the cats love the grass - demolished some already! There are a good number of seeds in the pack so I was able to plant in two containers about 11cm x 15cm. (One on the left is the eaten one by the cats in the picture). Will buy more when I need to replant.

Super easy and quick to grow (In sunny conservatory). Cats love it! We have a couple of trays and rotate. It has stopped our indoor cats going for the other house plants as they just demolish this instead.The only downside is all the hoovering from them ripping it up and scattering soil.We'll be buying again.
