There was a tiny bit of drip coming from the stitching around the drain valve. I made sure the cap was tightened all the way so it's not coming from the cap. This is not much of an issue unless your ice has completely melted (and then you're probably using this longer than it was meant for).It kept my fish fresh for the 3 hour drive home in about 75 degree weather, and the ice barely melted when I arrived. Even the next day, only about half the ice had melted and it was plenty cold inside. It probably can keep your fish fresh for about 30-36 hours depending on the ambient temperatures.The top zipper does not provide any sort of leakproofing. I had the bag 1/3 full of barely melted ice and it wasn't a problem until I took my fish out. The bag ended up tipping over sideways (zipped up) when I was fileting my fish. By the time I noticed (maybe 5-6 mins later), a good amount of water had leaked out of the top and all over my floor. So be careful to keep it propped up or hanging from something once the ice is melting!!

The zipper isn't water tight, so if it lays on its side it will leak.It could use a sturdy loop on the ends to hang it or keep it upright.But competing bags that have those features are 2-3 times as much.They keep ice well all day and we can fit up to 8 salmon in 1 bag.I have 2 of them and they each replace 1 cooler.That frees up a lot of deck space.

I have the 40" version of this brand and also another brand I bought on Amazon. The drain plug is the reason for buying this over the other brand. Sometimes I will gut my fish and clean it the next day. I leave it in the bathtub with the drain towards the tub drain to keep the fish from soaking (not good) in melted ice and blood.Well made, same quality as the ones you will pay a premium price at tackle shop

Nice size and quality and at a great price. I ordered this for my husband as part of his birthday as part of his birthday present. Important piece of equipment to keep on board the boat for those bigger fish.

Bought this for my boyfriends birthday. He loves it. He had 4 20lb chinook Salmon in the bag and we probably could have added another one . The only reason I gave it a 3 star was because of unexpected customs fee added . It’s fine but was never told in this ad and usually people advertise to let people know ahead of time
