After reading many reviews I was concerned I would get a used and returned tamagotchi uni, but thankfully mine was fully new!!! It’s really worth it with this cheap price compared to the resellers.

Desde niña siempre me han fascinado los tamagotchis, sin embargo el modelo anterior no podía comprarlo ya que sólo venía en japonés, por lo que apenas me enteré que sacaron esta versión disponible en varios idiomas, no dudé en comprarlo. Yo crecí acostumbrada a los tamagotchis “tradicionales”, y la verdad es que no hay tanta diferencia en la mecánica. Es muy intuitivo y con el plus de tener conexión a Internet y una funda tipo reloj. Ciertamente tiene características nuevas, pero su esencia sigue siendo la misma, sólo que modernizada. Creo que fanáticos como yo que les dan mucha nostalgia les encantará este nuevo modelo, y a personas que nunca han tenido uno también lo veo como una buena introducción. A diferencia de modelos anteriores, no ocupa pilas, sino que viene con un cable USB-C. Honestamente, para usarlo como reloj es ridículamente grande, pero personalmente no me quejo. Puedo trabajar con él puesto sin el temor a que me olvide cuidarlo, aunque difícilmente me veo saliendo a la calle con él en mi muñeca. El instructivo te dice que no lo debes mojar, así que recomiendo quitar antes de lavarse las manos o entrar en contacto con agua. Lo padre de la conexión a Internet es que ofrecen actualizaciones, así que tengo muchas esperanzas de lo que tengan planeado para el futuro y su constante mejoramiento. La conexión a Internet se usa para viajar al Tamaverse, donde puedes encontrar los tamagotchis de usuarios alrededor del globo, visitar un bar para encontrar el amor, viajar a diferentes lugares y conseguir souvenirs, comprar atuendos de otros usuarios y tradicionales de otros países, pero lo llamativo del Tamaverse es la Arena. Eliges un equipo (morado o rosa) el cuál no puedes cambiar y cada cierto tiempo se abren eventos de competencia donde el equipo ganador le dan premios y a cada usuario dependiendo de su desempeño. El reciente concluyó hoy, por lo que apenas y alcancé un día jaja. En conclusión, fue una excelente compra y espero Bandai lo dote con muchas actualizaciones en el futuro.

Get your thinking hats on because it's time to talk about why the Tamagotchi Uni might or might not be the Tamagotchi for you :) To start this off, all Tamagotchis have different play styles and aesthetics, so if you see something missing in this one that you saw somewhere else, I recommend heading to the wiki or the Reddit community to see if maybe you're looking for another one. 1. There's a feature that rewards you for getting your steps in! Kinda... You can walk with your Tamas, which is absolutely adorable, and aided by the fact that all Tamagotchi Unis come with an optional watch case. I don't personally use it, I just put mine in my pocket, but if you have no pockets or are afraid of losing it, you could definitely use it and remove it at will. 2. Finally, some color If you wanted a colorful Tamagotchi, this is one of them! 3. Online Yay! Or Nay? This has an online feature, which means that you can enjoy seasonal online games where you join teams and play games like collecting more Christmas items than the other team. You can also like other players' Tamas and even purchase/sell whole outfits from different players around the world, including cute anime eyes that you missed out on as part of regular update rewards! This is all still attainable! Of course, ONLY while online support stays up... 4. DLC, the microtransaction sequel If you enjoy microtransactions and themed rooms, Tamas, items, and games, you're going to enjoy the Uni. Cost depends on where you are, but typically it's 6 USD for regular DLC and 7.20 USD for collab DLC. For collabs so far, we have the Kawaisouni, Sanrio, Esther Bunny, and Pokopea collabs. This is all available online, and if you join the Reddit community, you can technically trade with other people since you get 3 tickets. You can also sometimes snag free ones, but it's harder to do so than to just trade and get the ones you want right away. You can only keep 1 DLC on at a time; if you want to use another, you have to remove the current one and wait for the other one to download. Keep in mind, this is only available as long as online support stays on for the Uni, which no one knows when Bandai will decide to stop, so whatever DLC you choose might become your permanent one when online support stops. There are currently 2 FREE DLC 5. NO battery This won't drain through batteries, and uses USB-C to charge, but make sure to follow directions on how strong the charge it receives has to be so that it lasts longer. Long term, when the chargeable component within the Uni stops working, it's going to be hard to change the battery, not impossible, but refer to the Reddit community or Discord to see how hard it is. For now, enjoy not changing out batteries! 6. Not too needy The Tamas aren't too needy, AND you have a babysitter who keeps watch over the Tamas for a small fee until around 7-8 PM. Now, this is still a Tamagotchi, so without the babysitter, it's still going to have its needs. Compared to ones like the Tamagotchi Party, though, it's not as needy, and you can always let the charge run out 7. Customize your Tama There are accessories you can get through codes by referring to the Wiki, some others through updating items/resources, and others you can buy with gotchi points in the regular/online Tamagotchi store. As your Tama grows, you gain more customization slots, so you can even add cute wigs and eyes to your Tama! 8. Few mini games There are a few mini games in the base game, which are fun on their own, but the DLCs each add 1 mini-game. Each DLC has different kinds of mini games, so make sure to look up what the mini-game is. DLC mini-games pay more than the regular mini-games. Pro tip: For the most gotchi points per mini-game session, snag a Fairytale Library DLC ticket Overall, this is a fun Tamagotchi that's suitable for anyone of any age, with not-so-difficult mini-games, but there are microtransactions if you want themed gameplay
