Great computer, but sender failed on 6th dive
I just returned from my first trip with the EON Core computer. I really loved having glanceable access to my tank pressure and consumption rates. It was very easy to see and use underwater. The only problems I had were that the sender failed on the sixth dive due to a leak (there was fresh water inside, even though I was diving in salt water) and I was surprised that there wasn't any way to display the current time when in surface mode. I assume that Suunto will fix the sender, but it was really disappointing to have it fail at the beginning of a 10-day dive trip.

Nice computers, great company to work with
Had an issue with the tank pod and they replaced it quickly and without issue (even after the return period had expired)!

Decent computer
The computer is decent. Not terrible but not especially good either. The display is just not bright enough for my taste in default, and when set to bright the battery will not last through two dives, so this is a disappointing. For whatever reason the safety stop timer does not automatically come on, which is just really silly considering the price you're paying. The layout is easy enough to read, but It's simply nowhere near as good as the Scubapro Galileo. Additionally, the transmitter came with a stone dead battery right out of the box, so on the first dive I wasn't even able to use the computer. Not even close to competing with Shearwater, Atomic or Scubapro.

Works great! Glare in shallows can be a bit tricky.
Just got back into after a 10 year hiatus. Not sure of anyone that ever really kept a dive log, but now you can. Dive computers make everything so easy, and this one worked brilliantly. It can be hit or miss to get the Pod and the Computer to connect via bluetooth, but purging some air a couple of times seems to do the trick (dive master showed me this trick). Cheers.

Near-perfect dive computer
I have owned and used many other dive computers. All of them did the job adequately (some better than others), but I didn't realize how much better life could be until I found the Suunto Eon Core. Now that I have used the Eon Core, I wouldn't even think of going back to the others. I love this dive computer. It is very easy to read and understand under most diving conditions. The only two things that keep this from being the *perfect* 5-out-of-5-star dive computer are the fact that it could be just a bit brighter (it isn't quite bright enough when using it in full sunlight, and I would gladly give up some of its impressive battery capacity to have a brighter screen - this should be user option), and the fact that the screen shows quite a lot of glare in very bright, shallow diving conditions (e.g., Hawaii, Sri Lanka, etc.).

Too easy too lock computer and locks for way too long.
DO NOT BUY!! Display is great. Super easy to pair with the pod for tracking tank pressure. Love the auto upload to the phone app of your dive profile. However, it is way too easy to lock the computer for 48hours. After the 3 min 10-20 ft safety stop, if you slightly ascend the last 10 ft just little too quickly, it will lock for an unreasonable 48 hours. Not sure how it is a "safety feature" if it will still track your tank pressure for the next dive, but won't let you know any other dive information. Going back to my older uwatec computer and seeing if I can find somebody to buy this on ebay. Avoiding all suunto products in the future.

Accuracy, reputation and experience of product
Nice clear color display . Easy to set up and use . Rented one for a couple dives ... then bought it . Expensive - but I like it and worth the money
