Campbell's Operative Orthopaedics: 4-Volume Set 12th Edition

Updated version comes with nice online references which are very helpful. Also comes with online access to text. Unfortunately, this access ends once a new edition of the text becomes available, which occurs about every 4-5 years.This is a large 4 volume reference that goes into extensive detail on the surgical management of orthopedic conditions. In particular the sections on total joint arthroplasty are very detailed and discusses different approaches and techniques for both primary and revision surgery. The text itself reads easily and flows moderately well. Some important details do get lost in the breadth of the text and can be hard to find.When compared to other classic orthopedic texts, I would view this one as more of a blueprint to how to perform general orthopedic procedures and care. If you want specific basic fracture care information in a textbook format, I would choose Rockwood's. If you are wanting more in depth evidence based literature of fracture care, I would choose Skeletal Trauma.

Otherwise good book, but the kindle vesion's usability is really bad. You cant find the info you need.The main broblem lies in the table of contents. If you want a quick reference of a specific topic the TOC is usually worthless. Let's say you want to read about talar ostechondral lesion. From TOC you can acces only in the beginning of the foot and ankle chapter. And then in the worst case you have to go through hunreds of pages page by page to find the topic. When in need there's no info indeed.

The price is unbelievable high, and i've wished to recieve a CD with the electronic version. Though there is a possibility to download (with accesscodes) but this is exhausting and time-consuming. I expected a little more service for the money.

This is an orthopedic resident's guide and a surgeons companion. I have thoroughly found this book to be very useful even after my orthopedic training. I have used both the Kindle and hard copy versions.

This dictionary like textbook is too heavy to carry. You shold take only one tablet if you use the online access. No explanation is necessary for its contents.

It is a success to be readable in kindle format rather than a pdf (Apeys system of orthopaedics for example).Not able to access the video content.Not able to connect to elsevier webpage for activation code of ebook. Link isn;t working!

still the benchmark book

様々なバリエーション手術や専門的な手術がありますが、スタンダードというものはあります。また、専門外の部分も当然ありますので、手術を行う整形外科医なら一冊は持っておきたいスタンダードな本です。お値段も高く、分量も膨大ですが辞書的な使い方をするとよいかと思います。

kindle版だとかさばることなく持ち運べる上、辞書も使えて便利です。ただ、特定の場所のズームアップなどができないことやコピー＆ペーストができないところでやや不便さを感じます。仕様なので仕方がないことですが。
