Works great
I bought this filter to give it a try because my last one wouldnโt suction. I currently have it in a 20 gallon tank but itโs not filled all the way because itโs for my turtle. This filter works great and isnโt loud at all. Itโs keeps my tank pretty clean and the filters donโt get dirty fast, the suction on it is pretty strong to.

Works well update: still work 2026
This filter works well with cleaning my turtle tank. Easy to clean and rinse off the filter. Update:2026 It still works after 3 years! The plastic clip on the strainer part broke, it still attaches lightly so it still work but pops off easily so im going to see if I can purchase a replacement strainer.

My favorite paludarium filter
I have 2 running in a 36x18x12in paludarium. Water is barely 2 inches high due to some substrate. This filter is great as it provides adequate circulation of water. It is easy to change the filter media to one you prefer and clean the sponge. It doesn't clog due to the pre-filter, and it creates a nice waterfall down wood and rocks. Size is perfect for hiding it behind hardscape.

Not to bad
Would be 5 but the filter and sponge get clogged fast in a turtle tank. Always cleaning it everyday. It does keep the water cleaner looking as much as it can so that is a bonus.

Great for our use with chameleons
I used these with a bowl to make a water feature for our chameleons and false chameleon. I used river rock to hold it in place. I have to top off the bowl every day or two due to splashing from my setup, but that is my preference. I could easily go 2-3 days without adding water to the system. I do clean it once a week (bowl and pump), and so far its working great.

Lasted 1 day
The filter lasted exactly one day and died. I was using it with a frog tank (African dwarf frogs) so I didn't want to send it back and risk giving some poor Amazon worker Salmonella if I didn't clean it well enough, so I just tossed it. I tried multiple outlets with this, no luck. I tried the same outlets with a different filter and they worked, so clearly it wasn't the outlet. It just wouldn't turn on. I checked online. I reset the filter media. I made sure it was correctly positioned in the tank (it had been all night). No good. I'd look elsewhere.

Turtle tank pump
I love the pump and it's working right now and I'll give it a week and than I'll update, but so far so good for my turtle tank, 10 gallons.

Works like it should
Using this in a turtle tank, and it works beautifully. The sponge filter on the outside stops a lot of the gunk from getting into the main filter. It's virtually silent. It also does not make much water current. 10/10 recommend this filter.
