I see there is a ii after the one shown, what does that mean. also, saw blue ones. are hey the same as the purple??/

My understanding when I bought mine over a year ago was that it is just a new and improved design, like the next upgrade to a software program. I saw both versions when I first looked into buying one but have been unable to find the first one since then. The blue one shown on the You Tube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y4iy4dmE6l8 is possibly an earlier version because the shell is clearer on that version--and blue. I'm not sure why the color is different. The second version works great for me at my veterinary hospital.

Is the cat able to eat with this on? My cat engages in dangerous Pica behavior and I am looking for a way to help prevent this at certain times.

I'm not sure but its very awkward on the head so probably not . I couldn't get it to stay on my cats head so didn't really use it.
