The media could not be loaded. This scented candle in a glass makes a perfect gift for anyone who loves whiskey. It arrives in a classy presentation box, with a wooden cover for the glass when not in use.Because the candle is made from gel wax, it convincingly mimics whiskey by giving that clear reflective appearance, which is further enhanced by the wood wick.Another benefit of it being made from gel rather than soy, or paraffin is that it burns longer so value for money.The only slight problem I had was when I removed the plastic cover it did take a small layer of the gel with it, but this was minor.I can’t claim to be an expert on scent, but I can say that it was stronger than most other candles I have had. The most prominent scent was that of oud and sandalwood, giving it a smoky middle eastern fragrance, very suited to those colder autumnal and winter evenings.I also really like that it has a wood wick as not only do they give that calming fire crackling sound (which you might hear if you turn the volume up on the attached video) but they burn more evenly and are not prone to tunnelling like conventional wicks.I have no hesitation in highly recommending this product.

Bought this in July for my husband and he LOVED it however I just want to put a warning on as there’s no way to contact the seller. Today he had the candle burning and it was nearly at the end of its life when the glass exploded. Thankfully he was sat next to it to put the flame out but it’s left a burn in the carpet where the wick landed.

I am a fan of scented candles and jumped at the change to try a more masculine fragrance. This one comes in a fairly heavy weight whiskey glass with a thick base. Unlike most scented candles which use wax, this uses a clear gel that is reminiscent of an aged whiskey in colour. The wick is a very thin wooden one that unlike the wooden wicks in the big brand candles, does not have that slight crackling-fire effect. It does however light very easily and quickly. The gel lasts for around 35-40 hours of burn time in total, with the gel and wick burning all the way to the bottom. The scent is a nice woodsy scent that fits the theme of the candle well.There is however a very serious flaw with the candle that could have serious consequences. Since the wick burns all the way down, it causes the remaining gel to catch fire at the bottom of the glass. This then causes the glass to explode. It did this to me when I was stood in front of the glass and I was hit with sharp shards of glass, causing minor cuts. I have never had this with a scented candle before as they do not cause the wax to catch fire. I cannot recommend this now as I feel it is a health hazard. If you do use it though, make sure to put it out before it gets near the bottom of the glass.

This candle is in such a lovely presentation box, and wrapped in protective wrap again before placed in an outer brown packing box (then into the Amazon packaging too.) and i love the dark blue and copper packaging box, as well as the whiskey glass and wooden top that it comes with.There is a plastic top protecting the wick and top of the gel like candle during shipping and is really well preserved and brilliant design too.The scent and glass display are stunning to watch when lit,, and scent fills the room of a dark, musky wooden cedar type scent that is a really nice scent and i absolutely love it, it is different to normal candles and i like the candlewick that gives an ever so subtle crackle as it burns, as it is a wooden thin wick through it.this would make a lovely gift but using it already to show what a lovely candle it really is, i am pleased with it.Smaller than similar priced candles that are larger sizes though it is a quality product and unique in its scent and glass idea.Gives off a lovely warm amber glow effect around the room when lit, I love it.

This is a beautiful candle. Unfortunately, there was a huge Air bubble (easiest way to explain) in the candle. I was not able to gift this to the person I wanted to and just kept it.

My husband hates plug in air fresheners and candles, but this candle is not your typical candle. It starts with the wick that does not need to be cut at all, and the scent is amazing. We light it every time we eat dinner.

It flickers nice, it presents very well and fancy. That said, it should. It's expensive. I don't know what it smells like, but it's not Whiskey. It's really quite gimmicky.
