Disappointing.
Doesn’t taste of tamarind. Tastes like a date / sweet pickle. Heavy use of dates. Virtually no chilli spice.

Imagine the best 'brown sauce' ever...
Zingy, tangy, fruity, this is superb stuff. One of my rituals at Christmas is, for breakfast, cheesy scrambled eggs, with ham and a generous helping of tamarind chutney - they go SO well together.
