Great leather saddle bags
Just got these after much deliberation. I wanted leather saddlebags for my beach cruiser. Was a little leery about these due to some of the reviews citing bad odor, poor stitching, or corroded hardware. I can report that mine had none of these issues. Each individual buckle (5 on each bag) was very tightly wrapped and sealed in plastic, and a silica gel pack was packed inside so corrosion nor staining. The bag features a pleated bottom so it expands, and it has both a zippered pocket and open pocket on the inside. The main interior pocket will hold a tablet, or a couple of books, miscellaneous items. They are not for big laptops, groceries, or overnight packing. The leather looks vintage, which looks great on my vintage style beach cruiser. I am happy I decided to take the chance. Great value for the price.

Avoid like the plague
Within a week they developed staining and ruined the paint on my motorcycle. Within a few weeks they were growing mold and shriveling. The bike is stored in a garage. They smelled like cancer from day one, progressing to where Id now probably get bronchitis from walking by them. They are entirely useless & now in the garbage. Buy something else.

Wow! Nice saddlebags for the price.
I needed saddlebags for my electric bike. Even though the description said they were goat skin, I didn't believe it. I figured it was vinyl. I didn't care. Though I would have been happy with leather-looking vinyl, the bag is actually animal hide. And what's even better is that I thought I was buying just one bag. I thought that if I could figure out how to mount it to my bike, I would buy another. No, there are two bags in this item. So I got two well made, goat skin bags for the price of the item, which I think was around $28. With some judicious trimming of the leather mounting straps, I attached the bags to the underside of the bike seat with screws. A perfect solution that took me fifteen minutes to install! Each bag will nicely accommodate a six pack of beer, tallboys at that!

Fantastic small cargo bags
I bought these to provide some storage on my commuter bike. I only need to pack in some bike tools and a change of clothes, maybe some lunch stuff. The leather (it's tanned goatskin) is smooth and uniform in appearance, if a little dry and stiff out of the packaging; a liberal coat of mink oil helped immensely with those concerns - and it also darkened the leather up a little so the bags have (to me) a very attractive vintage look. The straps used to attach the bags to my bike rack are just 1" leather belts, with simple brass buckles. They fit rather loosely, even though my rack is made of beefy 1/2" aluminum tubing, but the bags are so small they don't really shift around much at all. I may use a leather punch to run thongs out the back panel to tie down to my rack's downbars, but really I don't see the need yet. The straps on the front of the bag, to close and secure the top flap, are similarly 1" leather belts with brass buckles. I don't bother with the buckle, instead I thread the belt through the keeper loop below the buckle, pull it tight, then feed it back up through the same loop leaving the small "doubled-over" section of the belt just below the keeper. After 200 miles of commuting, I have never yet had one of the straps "pop loose" during a ride, and this method is much less frustrating than trying to actually "buckle up" the straps. These bags ARE on the small side (think "package of copier paper" or maybe "big desk dictionary" and you'll be pretty close to visualizing the interior volume) - when I was looking at them on Amazon, I noticed a few reviewers who apparently "lost their calm" when they realized the actual size (although the size listed on Amazon IS accurate, so their surprise is kind of ridiculous). I commute every day though, a 30-mile round trip, and I don't need much more volume than these bags provide.

Look great. But please read about leather quality and size.
Many other reviewers have commented on the small size of these bags. And they are correct. Think spiral notebook or regular sized iPad for the length. Width, maybe a single gallon of might squeeze in there. Depth same as a spiral note book or iPad. The leather. It is real, but thin, so these bags will not take a beating. I would say these bags are meant for light duty. I plan on carrying keys, lunch, phone and misc light items (like a bike cable lock. I do not think theses straps could bear medium weight without fatiguing and breaking with use over time. Think cheap department store belt that is even thinner. The bang for the buck is in the style and appeal, not the thickness of the leather or durability. I think ok for light use, but don’t be disappointed if you poke a hole or the straps fail with use. Nice small bag for light use. It would be great to see a slightly larger bag with the same design with much thicker leather somewhere on Amazon. As an FYI, I am tall with big feet. I always have heel strike with just about any pannier or bag system. I chose to go smaller to avoid this and the frustration. After several rides, no heel strikes with this smaller bag. A big reason why I am keeping these for light daily duty. And- I highly recommend what another buyer did (video in reviews). They lined the interior with cardboard to make it the shape of a rectangle. Looks great and makes it very easy to place items in the bag and retrieve them.

Nice quality leather and brass buckles, carefully packaged
The quality was excellent with a fun Bohemian, Indian feel. Chartreuse, natural fiber lining like a rough linen, added interest. Leather was supple and unmarred. Buckles were each wrapped in plastic wrap with oil coating, and had no erosion. The size is cute, and smallish looking, but perfectly adequate, once expanded. A piece of thin board on the bottom could be added to help stiffen for carrying weight, but it's nicely made and sturdier leather than purse leather. The tan color had some richness already to the patina, that will deepen in color once I use it and oil it myself a few times. The goat leather was sturdy but still supple. Very serviceable, too. I just took my ebike to get some pineapple ciders,a nd was able to fit a six pack in, by putting 3 bottles in each pannier bag, with no problem carrying the glass bottle weight, and about half the height still remaining in each bag. I really like the bags better than a larger motorcycle pair I already really liked, but that felt heavy and made riding less fun and lightweight. These are just so slender when not expanded, and still so unobtrusive, they feel like a nimble addition to my bike, not an anchor or "sack of pototoes" like many larger bags. I was surprised at first that they looked so flat and small, then I was amazed at how nicely proportioned they looked and how much they actually expanded to hold. Very happy with this high quality purchase and the extremely fast delivery. Would definitely purchase again from this seller.

Simple and easy additional storage with a vintage feel
The saddlebags provide good value for storage of small light items such as documents, disc lock, and bike chain. The leather is somewhat thin but appropriate; don’t assume it’s thick as glove or jacket leather. It does have a distressed look; time and use will weather the bag and add texture and patina. I inserted a plastic magazine rack in each to hold its shape, especially while on the go. So understand that the size of these bags have the profile of a standard magazine; no bigger. I reinforced the mounting straps with shoelaces to ensure stability. I chose the position to cover the mid side panels, because my rear turn signals are custom mounted to the rear suspension; the bags do not impede my leg position, but it will impede the passenger’s. In all, it’s a damn good deal as most saddlebags are either fake PU leather, or pretty damn expensive.

Looks are great but deceiving.
I like the look, however the bags are to small for a bike or mortar bike. They can hold small books and papers but really are definitely deceptive in capacity to hold what bike bags were designed for. They will work for a child's bike, but not a adults bike.
