I have now bought two of these - one for both my son (age 3) and my daughter (age 1). My son is a jumper and this completely puts me at ease so in the event he does jump into the deep end, I know he will not go too much underwater and will pop right back up. His confidence in the water is amazing with this thing, and I do not have to constantly be by his side.

Works very well with small child. It does take a little practice for them to get use to balancing in the water without going face first.so don’t expect them to be able to do it at first. My 15 month old granddaughter is getting all over the pool without holding on to anyone and jumping in all by herself. It took her a couple of weeks to be able to stay afloat. We started using it at 13 months. She is very small for her age and the 1 to 2 size works very well. We have even taken 4 pads out already and she can still stay afloat. We did buy another brand recently for a back up because her size was not available and she does not do as well.

The swimsuit is adorable and my daughter has been using it daily for a month and a half. It’s held up well but it definitely runs small. My daughter is turning four next week. She only weighs 32 lbs and typically wear a 3/4t and the largest size available just barely fits her. And she’s on the smaller side for a 3 year old. We have gotten our moneys worth out of the bathing suit though, and the flotation that’s built in gives her confidence to continue to push herself and keep up with her big brother.
