Review: Much better than OEM griddle - After going through 2 GE griddles (aluminum with nonstick coating) where the non stick comes off in just over a year, I was looking for a better option. This griddle fits perfectly for my oven (JGS760FP2DS) and being solid cast iron, cooks much more evenly and I know it will outlast the oven. Being cast, it needs to be seasoned for best results but I knew that going in. And, it doesn’t hurt that it’s cheaper than the lesser quality GE aluminum product!

After going through 2 GE griddles (aluminum with nonstick coating) where the non stick comes off in just over a year, I was looking for a better option. This griddle fits perfectly for my oven (JGS760FP2DS) and being solid cast iron, cooks much more evenly and I know it will outlast the oven. Being cast, it needs to be seasoned for best results but I knew that going in. And, it doesn’t hurt that it’s cheaper than the lesser quality GE aluminum product!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A GREAT REPLACEMENT GRILL

The original Teflon coated aluminum grill was a joke; the Teflon lasted a couple of months at best. This cast iron grill is well made, and comes with a good seasoned surface out of the box. For best heat distribution let the grill preheat for a few minutes before cooking on it. Cleaning is a breeze; scrape any tough spot with metal spatula, for tough spot add a little salt. Rinse with cold water and wash with a clean, soap-less cloth. Wipe it dry, and you're done. Occasionally wipe it down with a clean layer of oil, and heat for a few minutes until the oil dries a bit. That seasons it for a good non-stick surface the next time.
