Can you undo the straps and attach this to the top of an iron bed frame?

It is a nice bed frame that looks great, but the only complaint I have is I had trouble fitting it my my bed frame, however I made it work. It’s perfect height and seems sturdy. Like I said I had trouble with the holes in the plates and screws lining up with my current metal bed frame (cheap). Over I’m satisfied with it and will have it for a long time.

The right price, the right look and feel. I pair this with the Amazon basics bed frame, with the kit from Zinnus 14 inch headboard brackets. Assembled perfectly and looks great. I might stain it eventually, or do something more colorful, but for now - as is - this is perfect and a great buy.
