It was easy to install. Plants seem to really like the light. I love the built in timer. The timer comes on every morning at the same time and turns off at the same time at night, so no need for me to turn it on and off. The light does cover a good amount of space for the size. Quality of the product seems to be good. I don’t have any issues with the light getting too hot and I have the light on for 14 hours a day.

Needed some extra light for a fiddle leaf fig and angle wing begonia. This was easy to set up, and has worked well so far. The plants are very happy to have the extra light, and as an added benefit, the seat nearest to this light has become a favorite for hand sewists and knitters in the family, who enjoy having the extra visibility it provides. The light is bright without being blinding, and seems to have a high CRI without visible flickering or making colors look "wrong". The timer function has worked well so far, turning on and off as scheduled each day. Luckily, I haven't had it get unplugged in the middle of a scheduled on-period, which would require re-setting it. The built in time periods are a little bit limited, but it's better than requiring a separate timer, so I'm happy with it so far.

Really loving these so far! The versatility of the hanging options really makes them appealing for homes. I had to jury rig them to a plant hanger I also got off Amazon, since I'm not allowed to really drill much in my rental, but the long cable these lamps come with really helped create a stylized effect even using the plant hanger I got! The light itself is powerful and really gives ample coverage to the areas that it's meant to cover. I miscalculated and bought two for the areas I wanted to cover when realistically one for each was more than enough! No regrets though as it just means I have backups or can expand my plant location options! Can't really speak to the lifespan just yet, but I'll review again in the future if it becomes an issue. My only gripe with any of the Barrina lights currently is that they're not really made for smart homes quite just yet. While the built in timer is convenient to a certain degree, it's not quite "there" when it comes to adding genuine convenience. An example is that I'd love to have the versatility of integrating it into my smart home so that the lights turn on when a sensor detects low-light conditions during daytime, rather than on a fixed timer, since all my plants are in south facing windows in a rainy city. That means these lights are only meant to be complementary. This would vastly improve my energy efficiency with them. Food for future product development thought if it's not already in Barrina's production pipeline!

This light is so perfect and easy to install

I'm trying my hand at growing a Xanthosoma indoors for the first time and needed a supplemental light since it would not hang close enough to my Barrina strip lights. I love that this has a built-in timer! The timer times aren't standard (9 hrs, 14 hrs) but I have it set on 9 hrs and figure the remaining three hours can come from the nearby Barrina strip grow lights that I have set up on wireless plugs to turn off at the 12 hr mark. The first light I got worked fine but the switch on the cord did not function properly. I did a return through Amazon and the replacement works just as it should. Before I did the Amazon return I reached out directly to Barrina. I didn't hear back from them so I did it through Amazon to get it sorted. Three weeks after I contacted Barrina, they emailed me back completely apologetic about the delay ~ their email system glitched and it lost a bunch of emails, mine included. The fact that they reached out to me despite it having been three weeks showed me they really do care about their customers!!!! Kudos to their customer service! I love Barrina's products and have 30 feet of their grow lights in my home, and another 55 feet or so of their shop lights in my workshop. I will continue to use their products and recommend to all of my planty friends!

I love the bulbs in these lamps, but the timer cords are trash for my application. Really just wish they would sell the bulbs alone. If your power is disconnected (smart switch, outlet, power outage, etc) they do not come back on even when the timer is not set. They do generate a little heat as they eat up 23watts each. Light spread is nice and wide and feels more like a light fixture and not just a grow light. At this time, they do seem a little under powered for my application, so time will tell if the bulbs are as good as they look

I love these grow lights so much I’ve already put up 3 in my house. They’re super easy to hang, assuming you have a drill and a step stool, and go up in less than 15 minutes. They look really nice up, I have mine in corners so the cord runs down the wall perfectly. And most importantly my plants love them! They put out enough light that it lights up my entire plant stand easily and my plants are thriving!

It’s very bright, I do wish it was adjustable. Hopefully though it can supplement light for plants in a room with no windows. Update a few weeks later: It is very bright but the timer runs mostly while I’m at work so it’s not too bothersome for me. I have it hung in my office where I have no windows and my plants are honestly doing worlds better than I expected. I have a large hibiscus that has been super sad and bald for months and I threw it in my office under the light and it’s completely recovered and bloomed multiple times. I only got one bloom over the summer while it was outside. I’m happy with it.

Plants are responding well and there's good growth. They get warm, but not oppressively so they're fine to be within a foot of the plants and not worry. They come with a pair of wire clips to make moving the light up and down easier; they're good, but only if you can reach the ceiling to adjust them otherwise you need a step ladder (or even perhaps a real ladder ;) ). I found it easier to make a central hanging point on the plant climbing trellis, but YMMV. The built in timer is easy to work, but only has three options [in addition to 'always on']. I think the default behavior when plugged in is 'off', which means you couldn't put these on a distinct timer instead of using the built-in.

This review is for Barrina pendant grow light updated version. 1. I am in Canada. The entire transaction was at the top notch professional level of service. Fast shipping (before the estimated arrival time), great communication with seller, and reasonable price for elite product. 2. I am now planning to change my entire grow light collection (not Barrina and they are clip on lights) to these Barrina lights that will last a decade or more longer than what I have, in addition to what the Barrina pendant light offers. 3. I had a very dark corner of my house (see the photo) that regular clip on lights could not keep up with (plants were not growing). The new light replaced ALL OF THEM and even in a week of being cared by this new light, they already look better. I opted not to use a hanging hardware for now, but rather used an old tripod stand. The light is brightest bright, but also the whitest most beautiful light ever. In addition to helping plants grow, it is elevating the aesthetics of my room. It also helps with my seasonal affective disorder. So easy to set up and the timer works perfectly. The whole system looks extremely well done, does not overheat and makes me comfortable in terms of fire safety etc. 4. I read all the other reviews prior to purchase. Here some things that people were confused about, FOR NO REASON. THE 14 HOUR LIGHT SETTING IS ONE OF THE BEST FEATURES IF YOU UNDERSTAND HOW IT WORKS ….NOT 14 on, 14 off, but IT WORKS 14 hours, THEN SHUTS OFF FOR 10 hours….if you choose that setting of course…. The red light indicator is great to glance at when light is not on, it gives you confidence that it is plugged in and ready to work when needed. Unlike other lights, it is not annoyingly bright indicator that blinks and blinks. 5. I now recommend this light on all my gardening groups and plant groups as people know how critical and picky I usually am, but this Barrina pendant light (upgraded version) is SECOND TO NONE.

This ia an excellent light, the plant under it is growing like crazy.

I put this in my bathroom with very high ceilings. Easy install, and the hight can be adjusted over and over with ease. I put in my bathroom with no windows for plants who come home new and need to be quarantined for a whole or who aren’t doing well and need bright light. Timer works great, looks great and happens to be a good light to do my makeup under! I will be purchasing a second for my fiddle tree for winter!

So far so good. Light is very bright. Easy to instal, and looks nice. I did just buy and install it (March 16 2026) will update if any issues arise. I wish that the timer was 12 hours instead of 6, 9,14. I do prefer a warmer tone would be nice to be able to shift from cool, neural and warm. For an led light it does get warm. I wonder if the pendant bulb would work in another lamp with a smart plug... Or to be able to put a decorative shade over it.....hmmm
