As stated in the description of the product, this is a great product for baking. It is finely ground so it mixes well into flour. You can use it to increase the fiber content of wheat flour-based baked goods or to improve the texture of gluten-free baked goods. However because it is so finely ground, it readily clumps when you mix it with a liquid so this is not an ideal product to add fiber to liquids. The only way I have found to prevent the clumping in liquid is to place the powder in a bowl, then slowly pour the liquid in while whisking vigorously to prevent clumping. You have to whisk very fast to avoid clumping and if that's what you want the product for I would buy a product that is not as finely ground as this product. But this product is excellent for baking.

I buy this product for my horse. It helps with a runny stool and much more adorable than products specifically made for horses.

This is a nice large size for my baking of bread as it is an essential ingredient for achieving a good rise in gluten free baking, plus added fibre. I have used the Now brand for a long time, but it is not available all the time. This brand did not have any color effect on my dough product and is a bit more economical. I certainly would buy this again. There is one minor problem with this product, it is the bag. When you tear open the strip at the top and open the bag, the one side of the closure separtes from the bag and you cannot reseal it. For some time I have been using a plastic container that contained the Now brand that had whole psyllium husk powder, that I bought that by accident. I always use finely ground psyllium husk. It just makes a perfect container to put this product in. This large bag won't fit in the jar, but it doesn't take long and I dump the rest in. People have complained about the bag's inability to reseal. I never noticed until today, when I opened a new bag, I tried to reseal it, and I looked very close, and that's what I saw, the other half tore right off the bag. Update', my wife started mixing this in a magic bullet to drink for added fibre, it mixes well. She doesn't eat my gluten free bread, so she needed this extra fibre

Just got this today but cannot use it. When I opened the package, I noticed that the fiber was clumpy looking and immediately expected that moisture caused the clumping. Most fiber products are very dry and powdery looking. The product would not mix with water no matter how hard I tried. I tried adding the product to a dry glass followed by water - that did not work. Next, I added water to a glass and sprinkled the powder on top and that did not work. No matter how I tried to mix this product with water all I got was cloudy water with what looked like TERDS floating on top. The floaters were sized from about 1/16 to 3/8 inch and no amount of stirring would break them up. Smashing the floaters against the side of the glass just lead to clumps stuck to the side of the glass and the spoon. Stay away! Update: Since this item is Not returnable, I did a little more investigation and now believe that the moisture that was trapped in this product was not due to a leakage package but to a fault in the manufacturing process. Likely, one of the final processes is drying the product in a Kiln-like device that stirs and dries at the same time. Doubtless that this process was not completed or not done at all with this particular lot. The Lot No. is 09P0122; EXP: 04/2024. The manufacturer should replace all purchases of this particular lot.

I read the other reviews about the powder not dissolving in liquids well. I used a shaker bottle and it dissolved just fine. I used the old hidden valley ranch shaker for making dressing. I also have a shaker with a spring mixer ball in it which I can assume will work as well. Now the flavor of the flavorless power. I mixed two scoops in 8oz of water and the taste was not pleasant for me. Tasted earth and mushroomy if I had to put a flavor on it. I bought it for fiber for myself and my dog. Dog doesn't seem to care when mixed with food, and I will mix using flavored liquid going forward as I didn't care for it plain. Update: I mixed a couple scoops with some sugar free crystal light in a shaker and it mixed fine. I poured it into a cup with ice. I could still taste the powder over the drink, but better than with plain water. Also, the bottom 20% turned into a gel. I did "drink" the gel and it did not have the earthy flavor the liquid top portion did. Not sure how to consume this stuff. Worked great in a smoothie, but I do not have those every day.

I’ve been mixing a scoop into my morning smoothie a few times per week and it seems easier on my stomach than other powders I tried before. I feel less sluggish after meals and digestion seems more steady now. It mixes decently well with a bit of liquid and has no strong taste so it doesn’t interfere with my breakfast routine. For what I paid it feels like a good supplement to help me get more fiber on a regular basis
