Very interesting Story
I just can't stop thinking about this book I've read many books but this one to me is the most catching and addicting book I have read. Charlie and Blaire make a very intense and interest couple though sometimes they were getting on my nerves and making their lives so difficult for nothing. I would totally recommend this book.

ABSOLUTELY WORTH THE 5 STARS! INCREDIBLE STORY
I was looking for something a bit different than what I normally read. I have been drowning in Kirsten Ashley novels for quite some time, but now I'm looking for a different type of thrill. I love Kristen Ashley (especially the Motorcycle Club series) books, Jasinda Wilder books, don't get me wrong, but I happened upon an author by the name of Nashoda Rose, and found her books to be dark, intriguing, loving, sadistic, erotic and whimsical all wrapped into one story. So I read all of her 'Tear Asunder' novels. After I read those, I found myself delving into more of the human trafficking and the men who seek to prevent and punish these deplorable human who exploit men, women, and children for their own gain. After Nashoda Rose, as most of you who are avid readers know that after you finish a novel, there are recommendations of other similar books or authors, which brings me to Anita Gray.Wow, I never heard of her, and even looked for other books by her, and I so hope she reads these reviews, and know that she has a faithful and true audience already. The relationship between Blaire and James...so beautiful, yet so haunted and fragile. The same can be said with her feelings, and uncomfortable emotions she has for Charlie.Maksim...although this character is horrific, Anita Gray does an excellent job in having the reader delve into his character, the subtle nuances of his 'faithfulness' to Blaire and vice versa.I don't want this book to end...in fact, since I am reading it on my Kindle, I am at 98%, which is the start of the Epilogue, and I...CAN...NOT...BRING...MYSELF...TO....FINISH....! I don't want this love story to end, and YES, it is a love story, in spite of! So, before I commence the Epilogue, I've purchased Charlies POV, which I believe is about 26 pages, and probably dedicated to his idea of Blaire and what he feels for her, and then I will read the Epilogue, and anxiously await Anita Gray's next novel!

TOO MUCH GORE AND THEN NO HAPPY ENDING. SKIPPED TO BOOK TWO TO READ THE ENDING.
I did not enjoy this book. Too much twist and turn, the poor girl suffered too much and finally there was no happy ending. Too much gore, however had there been a happy ending it would have been worth it. I must confess I could not continue reading these two books. i started having anxiety attacks and I skipped to book 2 and read the very end to find out how it ends - to say I was disappointed is to put it mildly, hence my decision to discontinue with my reading. I notice that a volume 3 is due out sometime and mus confess I wont be purchasing unless there will be a happy ending between BLAIRE and CHARLIE. Will she return to him. I think BLAIRE wals stupid to be sticking up for her brother so much. I mean he declared that he was in live with her, his own sister and not in a brotherly way and would have continue to treat her in the same way their MASTER treated them, whipping her and containing her in very much the same way and yet she spoiled her relationship with Charlie for what she thinks will be a peaceful existence with JAMES. How deluded. Overhaul I think she was stupid. She was such a good fighter, she could have taken out her MASTER after she foolishly returned after spending three weeks with CHARLIE where she at last learnt what life was like to be free and at peace then submitted to the maniac thus subjecting herself to all that physical and mental abuse and his rape in her anus. I think she enjoyed it somewhat. She deserved everything she got. Upon reflection, at best I hope CHARLIE goes on to find love and contentment with someone else. Maybe she, BLAIRE, i.e., much too damaged to enjoy a peaceful and loving relationship.
