Not even a frog's A$$ is waterproof... So yeah if you're expecting these to be fully waterproof then your outta luck. If you want the most satisfying comfortable sock you'll ever wear than you are in luck here. I've tried many of these 'waterproof' socks and these are by far the best. They are much higher fitting(closer to the knee) than others and they don't fall apart and wear out after a year. Most others I've tried get worn out and start falling down the leg, these don't. Also these do provide a good amount of waterproofing if your shoe does make contact with water. And once these do get wet or even if your sweating profusely they still feel as comfortable as can be when they are damp. So I use these for hiking, mountain biking, dual sport, running, etc basically anywhere where I need all day comfort. I brought extra for a family backcountry backpacking trip and talked my old man into trying them and he never took them off for 7 days. It was the first time he had no blisters or other soreness issues that he usually gets. Shoes totally sopped in rain but couldn't even feel the wet shoes he said. I swear by these. They just make whatever shoe your wearing that much more comfortable. I wish they made these in knee high version as well. The picture shows others bought which were worn less compared to these on the left with much more time on them.

I bought these socks thinking maybe I can wear open toed hiking shoes in the rain so I didn't need to bring 2 pairs of shoes. I was not entirely sure if this will work but still took a gamble and bought them. My goodness these socks worked so well! I went to Patagonia and hiked the Torres del Paine with my open-toe shoes and these soaks in the icy rain. The weather went bad on my second day and it was raining and snowing. These socks kept my feet absolutely warm and dry. In addition, too my biggest surprise, the inside of the socks were dry even with my very sweaty feet. I am so happy I bought these socks because they offered me a viable option for light travel (I stopped check-in my luggage for my last 4 month-long international trips). Thanks for your products!

Worn in non-waterproof boots in the pouring rain and feet stay dry. Have had these socks for a few years and they are still in good shape. They do not breathe at all so not a good choice for hot days, but good padding for boots.

Bought for a vacation in which we knew we would have rainy weather. They feel a little odd on your feet, but kept our feet warm and dry. Durable.

These replace some much more expensive waterproof socks that no longer work. So far my only issue is how thick they are. They're definitely waterproof and will be great in the fall and winter. For me, they're a little too heavy to wear comfortably in the spring and summer. A tip for testing waterproofing: Turn sock inside out and fill the foot with water. Twist the top and squeeze. If water drips through the foot part of the sock, they're not waterproof.

Comfortable and definitely keep your feet dry. Worn them on rainy days jogging, my sneakers got wet but, not my feet. Easy to launder.

I was outside in a staff drizzle running on low cut wet grass. For the first 45 minutes, the socks held up well and kept my feet dry. For the next 45 minutes, I felt like I was running with two wet sponges wrapped around my feet. They were soaked through, especially around the toes.

Buying another pair stat. These are awesome! Even when my "waterproof" boots failed me at a seam, these socks did not. Was wading mid calf up to knee high in cold river water and these kept my feet nice and warm and dry! I wear a size 9 in women's shoes and the medium fit great! Not too tight at toes or anything.

J’ai acheté ces bas pour des excursions lors de mon voyage en Alaska, sachant qu’on risquait de marcher sous la pluie et qu’il ferait froid. Mes pieds sont toujours restés au secs et jamais je n’ai eu froid aux pieds. Attention c’est bas sont très épais, prévoyez le coup. Je ne pouvais pas les porter avec mes souliers de marche, seulement avec mes bottines de randonnée qui sont plus grandes
