This tripod is very durable and substantial. Clips are good quality. I am very satisfied.

This lightweight tripod base comes with a carrying strap and a strap to keep the legs closed when not in use. The aluminum framework is sturdy and will not corrode easily. The two clamps on each leg are more than enough to keep the tool in place. I actually only use the upper clamp which is a bit easier to tighten.It was easy to mount my level on top using the plastic screw mounted in the base. I would probably prefer this to have been brass, but the plastic is strong enough and worked well.I am very pleased with this replacement for my previous 30-year old model.

I got this for my husband to use with his laser level, as we were having to stack various items to get it up to the right level for a project we did last week. This is extremely sturdy and will likely last him a lifetime. I think the size mount it has is bigger than what he needed, but he assures me that it is fixable and that this will be perfect for the job from here on out. It has a carrying strap, that is a nice feature and I think that this tripod could take anything just short of being run over by a MAC truck before it failed. The price is extremely reasonable considering the quality and craftsmanship. I highly recommend.

This is the first surveyor's/transit tripod I have owned. Previously, I have had to set a laser level on blocks or attach it to a tractor bucket to get it where I want it. This is a huge improvement from my previous methods.This tripod is lightweight and has easily adjustable legs. It is easy to get level and will make my occasional work with a laser level much easier. This is not something I will use everyday, but when I need it it will be very helpful. One project I plan to use it on is putting up a rail on a carport and getting the tops of all the posts level. This will make that job much easier and more accurate than running a string level across the posts.
