Yes!
Love it. Saved me this winter. I was able to hold off damper repair $800+

Works after I spent a little more money.
This is currently doing its job of keeping the bugs out but the glue on the Velcro almost immediately stopped working and after dealing with that for a couple of days I took two of the hooks it came with (renter so can’t use the glue) and nailed those to the wall and tied it up with jute rope.

The media could not be loaded. I love that the draft is gone!

Does not stick well to stones on fireplace
The cover provides a deterrent for my grandson to grab at the screen in the fireplace. The tape on the Velcro sticks well to the cover, but does not stick well to the stones around the fireplace and the hook solutions do not secure enough of the cover to keep hands out. I am using both ways to adhere it to the fireplace and it suffices.

Not the most attractive but gets the job done
If you're trying to keep drafts or hot air out, of course make sure your flue is closed. But also, it doesn't hurt to pair this with another internal blocker like the inflatable ones that fo right up against the flue. If you're planning to use the adhesive, you really need to make sure you first clean the area where the adhesive will go. A quick wipe down with rubbing alcohol is probably enough, but I first did a wipe down with a water dampened cloth and then a wipe down with some rubbing alcohol. When I applied the adhesive, I gave it 24 hours before attaching the cover. It's not the nicest looking thing in the world, but if you're planning on leaving it in place long term, it's easy enough to decorate around.

It Wasn’t Quite Big Enough for My Apartment Fireplace
I texted my leasing manager to make sure this fireplace cover would fit (mine is a standard 2” by 3” fireplace), and that’s why I ordered it. It fits, for the most part, but it wasn’t quite tall enough for my fireplace. If I ordered it for heat insulation purposes, then I would’ve had to order another one entirely. Luckily for me, I ordered it for aesthetic purposes because we were told that our fireplaces don’t actually work. I wasn’t anticipating how wrinkly it would be so I don’t think it looks all that great, but I intend to eventually find a tapestry to cover it up, but I can’t say that I wasn’t at least a little disappointed. Installation was incredibly easy - I wasn’t sure at first if the adhesive tape would stick to painted brick, but it seems to be holding up fine after some time.

Pretty good, not great
Even with the flue closed, you can feel heat coming in from the fireplace in the summer. The chimney is black metal, so it gets ridiculously hot in the sun. Prior to getting this, I was using one of those car windshield reflectors in the fireplace. It didn't look very good, but it made a big difference in the heat. This fireplace cover looks much nicer. However, I could feel it getting hot during the day after I installed it. I ended up having to put the windshield protector and this in place. Now it looks good and stops the heat.
