Does the job great. Though I note the needle is exposed and not within a housing like others I have used, so I suppose it's a bit more vulnerable to someone poking the needle and destroying the calibration, but then you're not really going to be touching something that's 200 deg C and it is easier to read the needle when it's not partly covered I suppose. A cheap item that does the job.

We were advised by our chimney sweep to get a thermometer to monitor our woodburner's temperature and this does the job perfectly. It sticks firmly onto the flue with its powerful magnet and the temperature is easily read from within the room because of the 3 coloured zones. Since using this we no longer have to clean the glass window of the woodburner every day because we can keep the temperature at an optimal level. Very pleased with this product which arrived quickly and works well.

This wood stove thermometer does an excellent job. I can't stand having creosote buildup on my stove glass door, or in my stove and chimney pipes for that matter. And of course, I want something to guide me as to whether I should increase or reduce the air intake into my wood stove. This little thermometer tells me everything I need to do and constantly serves as my guide as to how to adjust my stove. The price is very reasonable and I highly recommend it. Have used the JossaColar Wood Stove Thermometer for a few fires now and so far it is working great! Initially, I did not think I would need two, but now I'm glad to have both.Easy to tell at a glance if your fire needs to be hotter or if it is too hot. Takes the guesswork out of getting the most optimal fire. Works especially well for me since my stove does not have a glass door or viewing window so the only way I can tell if my fire is dying quickly is by using the thermometer.The magnet base makes it easy to stick it on the stove. The magnet is strong enough that the thermometer stays in place, but with the flip-up handle is easy to move around easily.The only complaint I would have is one of the thermometers in the 2 pack has faded in color after a few fires, but the functionality is not affected. Honestly would not even of noticed if I didn't have another one to compare to, does not bother me personally, but buyer beware that colors could fade.Would Highly recommend it to others, worthy of a 5-star review.

Mounted 18" above the stove top is where i have the best readings. When confirmed with infrared laser the temps can be pretty consistent. Excellent magnet. A bit on the small side but still easy to get a quick indication of whats going on in the flue as well as a guess at the stove top temps. Great price and actually the only product i saw that wont fall(weak magnet), burn/fade the color, malfunction and lose spring tension. Time will tell as ive only had a dozen fires, but for now i very mediocrely recommend! Haha
