Fabulous bit of kit!
I cannot believe that I have been raving about a hand mixer but this one is amazing. I previously had a great John Lewis one with the same sort of thin blades but it stopped working after years of use. Having hunted high and low for something similar I gave up and purchased a cheap as chips Cookworks mixer from Sainsbury's - so bad it wouldn't even stand up on its base, made a right old racket, but at least did some mixing. I finally decided enough was enough when I knew I had got to whisk a recipe for 8 - 10 minutes. A quick search revealed that there is now another available option in this Bosch hand mixer with the thin blades. Other reviews were saying how quiet it is but I was just looking at the brand, always reliable, and the blades. I put it to the test last weekend and it was honestly astonishing. I could hardly tell it was on. Even at full speed it was only making a reasonable noise. And of course lower noise equals fewer vibrations through the hand and arm. Such a pleasure to use and did a fine job of whisking the rather delicious gf brownies for a family birthday. I cannot recommend highly enough - it's quiet, efficient, stands up, comes with dough hooks as well as the thin blades. Would buy another in an instant!

A superb hand held mixer
An excellent hand held mixer. Light and powerful with a very efficient mixing action. Very easy to clean. Highly recommended.

Good all rounder than won't give you a headache!!
After much researching for a replacement for my old Russell Hobbs hand mixer that has served me faithfully for 20 years or so, I choose this Bosch as there was nothing in the instruction booklet for this model that said that this mixer could only be used for 5 minutes at a time (most others do!!) The first thing I noticed on removing it from the box that it's much lighter than my old mixer so I plugged it in to give it a whirl!! Surprisingly quiet (how wonderful) then I noticed that it only had 4 speeds (totally overlooked that as my old one had 5!!) I tried out each setting and although there is an increase in speed with each one, the top setting didn't seem fast enough to quickly get a lot of air whisked into egg whites. Plus, my favourite genoise sponge recipe calls for mixing at "half speed" and only having a choice of 4 speeds makes it difficult to know which speed to use!! I wasn't sure about the plastic tips on the beaters and dough hooks and wondered if over the course of time the plastic would crack or the holes into which they go, also made of plastic might suffer the same fate. Even though this isn't a very expensive hand mixer and I certainly don't expect it to last me 20 years or so, I decided to send it back as I really need 5 speeds to make sure my recipe works!! If speed isn't an issue, this is light and quiet so you won't get arm ache or a headache!!

Keep clothing, body parts and one armed wives away
Works perfectly. However. Please be very cautious if you only have one arm. I bought this for my wife, bless her! she has been through the wars over the last few years. After surviving her brain tumour, she had a stroke, leaving her left arm a little useless! To try and brighten her up a bit, I bought her a new cake mixer (she loves baking) this one has great power and is very lightweight. Now! how she managed to catch her vest top in it i don't know? but she did. This intern made the mixer shoot up her body gathering clothing as it shot towards her right Tit, twisting her only good arm in to a position that she couldn't reach the on/off button. Now! Because she is unable to straighten out her left arm, she couldn't reach the power socket on the wall. I heard a little cry coming from the kitchen (more like a banshee tbh) so as usual I took my time, walked to the kitchen to see what she has manged to do this time. Nothing could prepare me for what I was about to discover. There was my wife, standing in what can only be described as a cake mix explosion, both arms twisted like a T'Rex with her Right Tit out dripping in cake mix... So as a conclusion to this mixers capabilities, value for money and longevity! It will easily whisk its way through any cake mix, remove clothing and all dignity with ease for a very reasonable price...

Near silent hand mixer
It is so quiet! Bought as a replacement for an ancient hand mixer that sounded like a cement mixer. This mixer has just made an excellent fruit cake(Christmas cake but not for Christmas!) so has been put through it on its maiden mix, tomorrow is Shrove Tuesday so itโll be making many pancakes and Iโm actually looking forward to getting it out of the cupboard. Highly recommend and was at a good price too.

Worked great and has a nice slow start speed that helps avoid mixture leaving the bowl!
It worked great both with mixing minced lamb for kebabs and also to whip air into thick milkshake mixture.

You get what you pay for
This is ok, you get what you pay for. Its small for a handheld mixer but seems to work ok, ive only used it to make a small quantity of cakes, not sure ot would cope with a large quantity of cake/batter mix

Light hand mixer
Does the job well. Mixer heads are a bit flimsy so canโt be used for heavier mixing, which I believe it does say in the blurb . Great for eggs etc.

Brilliant Bosch.
I needed to replace my old hand held mixer, because a rat chewed through the cord. Iโd had it for years, and it was a good reliable hand held mixer, but this one looks like one too.

Stirring to perfection
Light and oh so easy to use, quiet and doesn't get hot while in use. Its a pity an Australian 3 pin plug is not available, we are making do with an adapter, it mixes a variety of cakes with ease, very happy with the purchase.

Really weak, even for cream
It's super light compared to my russel hobbs, but way too weak for 400W. Very disappointed. I expected more from Bosch. I don't have any issue with the plastic material which makes the mixer look cheap, but very upset with the power. It took me ages to whip cream, and the cream didn't even get thick after more than 5 mins mixing at the maximum power :((( I have just used it once, and already think about buying a new one
