This WAS my favorite headband
I've been using these headbands for several years now and I really like them, they do a good job keeping my hair out of my face and I like the way it looks. The black, ribbon wrapped ones seem to be made well as far as the angle of the the "teeth". That's the positive. The negative: they are plastic under that ribbon wrapping, they are going to snap within a few months with daily use and once it does, it can't be fixed. Perhaps that wouldn't be a major issue except these headbands have substantially increased in price, from $2.00+ prior to Covid, then to $4.00+, and now $7.00. For something that will only last a little while? Not for me anymore. But if YOU are going to buy them anyway, choose these over the brown version by Goody that isn't wrapped in ribbon because it's been my experience with the brown ones that the teeth are usually angled wrong and glide over the top of your hair/head rather than into the hair as they are supposed to. I've been through many black ribbon wrapped ones and they all had perfect "teeth".Edit: The teeth on this one, the black ribbon wrapped one- the teeth are angled WRONG. I will not waste a cent more on these things because unless you can try it on your head in store, you'll never know if it is made correctly.... and who wants to try on a headband someone else could have had in their dirty hair?

Love-hate relationship
As with many other reviewers, this headband is a curse and a blessing. There are no others I have found with teeth like this that hold my hair well and as comfortably as can be expected. The ribbon definitely helps. They work great while they last but as many have said, they do not last, they are prone to snapping. I wish the plastic was stronger as the ribbon helps prevent breakage sooner. I have no idea how much I have spent on these in years past but will likely continue to do so as they do a great job. In my hair and I don't touch it again. I have straight hair but lots of it and this does a great job. I've found it's even better when put in backwards (teeth facing out).

Not what it used to be
Cheaply made. Teeth show even out of thick hair—teeth sticks out from your head. Disappointing

Uncomfortable to wear all day
I love this type of head band and this one is sturdy enough to hold my mass of curly hair back. I should love it but the bottom of the headband that sits behind your ears has little points that stick into your head making it uncomfortable to wear for long periods of time. It seems to be how the ribbon is glued that makes the point that sticks in my head (as seen in the pic), maybe it’s just a defect in mine. either way it’s unwearable for me :(

The "teeth" are tortoise shell color & stick out of instead of into the hair
Not what I have had in the past. I don't know if they were "seconds/rejections" or what. The ones I purchased in the store had clear "teeth" and pointed downward enough to be hidden in my hair. I have grey/white hair, so the colored plastic stuck out like a sore thumb.

I love you, I hate you...
I have a love/hate relationship with these headbands. I've been growing out my bangs for some time and use these to hold them back during that awkward/in between stage. I love these and they are super cute but they never last! I've probably gone through about 40 of them now and typically they last me a couple weeks until they finally just snap. They are just plastic inside and just wearing them stretches them and hurts the integrity of the plastic until they finally just snap. You can actually see when they are about to break because they don't sit nicely on your head anymore.I do love how they fit at first though and haven't found anything I like more which is why I keep buying more. I'm like a crack addict that can't stop! I wish they'd make them a little bigger so they wouldn't stretch out but it is what it is. Again, it's a love/hate relationship.

Look nice in your hair
I love these but they tend to break in the middle you have to be careful not to stretch out when putting them on .

Could be improved but they work better for my fine hair than any of the others I have tried (several)
One of the only headbands that I like and can't find in stores anymore...where I live. I agree with some people that the plastic used needs to be better because they do become brittle pretty quick but I can't find a headband without "teeth" that works as well as this one does. My hair is fine so a full headband just creeps up my head and never stays in place. I like half bands (I am going to call this style) because it does not go under. The teeth help separate the strands. I decided to just buy like 6 and hope to get a year out of them. I put them on from the time I get up till bed time. I can't stand hair hanging in my face and these do the job well. I just wish they would last longer. Also: I tried other versions of this style from other companies and the angle of the teeth are horrible. This is the only brand that works (for me).
