is it machine washable?

Yes It goes home in a bag with the familes over the weekend for adventures and sometimes comes back needing a bath!

How soft is it? What material is the fur made out of?

Chester's fur is made of polyester fibers, but quite soft. Ours has taken dips in the pool, bath and washing machine and is still cuddly and soft.

Are the eyes and nose plastic button or embroidered?
