It's not bad.
The steel is just stamped cold roll. It's not too sturdy but it does the job ok. I like that it came with a grill grate. Once a bed of coals was burned down and hot, I could see some simple cooking on it.

Perfect for Kids!
We are from WA where bonfires are a way of life. My 8 year old wanted his own little fire pit, so we gifted him this for Christmas. It’s easy to put together and sturdy. We’re happy with this purchase!

Doesn’t hold up.
We purchased this to take camping with our cab over camper due to size and pack abilities. We thought we would try it at home first. So we unpacked set the burn proof pad on our patio which is stone. We weren’t to crazy about the pad started fire and it seemed ok, about 45 minutes in one side of the pit separated a bit tried putting it back together but it was to hot to accomplish. We let it burn down the next morning we picked up and it appeared to have separated due to the heat of the wood. Picked up the heat blanket or shield and you can tell it got a bit hot under the pad and would never use it on top of dried anything other then stone. Thought we would give it another try the next night just to make sure it was not operator error putting it together. We used a hammer to make sure the sides we connected all the way. Started fire a bit over from original stone on patio with fire proof pad and the same thing happened . One side due to heat warped and came apart again. So again let it burn out and checked the mat again after the first fire you could see the wear from one fire on mat by the second fire the protection heat mat appeared to allow heat to go more into patio stone and a visible heat mark was now in the stone. So I would not put to much safety in that fire proof heat mat at all. If you had a big fire pit area and wanted a smaller fire pit you maybe able to put this on top of that. There’s got to be better portable fire pits that pack up small and are safer then this one. So still looking for that one.

Easy table-top grill
Good scores for assembly, portability, and sturdiness. Great for grilling some kebabs or steak while camping, perfect for a picnic table. You could also use it as a campfire sitting off the ground, although it'll be a smaller fire. When unassembled, pieces lay flat inside the included travel carrier.

Exceeded my expectations
What a clever bit of design. Disassembled and in the storage pouch it's about the same size as my portfolio that holds a single tablet of paper. Assembly is easily and intuitive. It comes with instructions but they aren't really necessary. The grill top allows you to put a small cooking pot on the stove, but for me, a bigger benefit is that it keeps kids' marshmallows and tiny hot dogs out of the fire when they inevitably fall off the toasting stick. This is perfect for taking to the beach or having a quick fire in the back yard.

Small, fun, portable fire pit
I was really surprised to see they made portable fire pits like this, so I really wanted to try it out. It may be small, but it does have some weight to it. The pieces all feel like they’re cast iron, they’re a little rough to the touch. The pieces are a little strange trying to fit them together, by looking at the pieces you’re not sure how they’re even going to hold up, but it works some how. Once it’s put together, you can pick it up to relocate it pretty easily, I was afraid the pieces were going to come apart, but they didn’t.I like how this comes with grates to put in it to keep the hot coals/wood in it and you can also use it to grill, so it could double as a camp stove. So far it has held up nicely with use. I would recommend this.
