Even for my small wrist (6.5") the comfort is exceptional and the length isn't a bother given the soft nature of the material, allowing the floating end keeper to sit high on my wrist without even noticing. The end of the long side does sit high, but the keeper keeps it flat so it doesn't hang out or get in the way of long sleeves or jackets. For my 6.5" wrist, the long end sits about 3/4inch from the lugs, which will likely bother a lot of folks, but for me it really isn't an issue for appearance, comfort or usability. I figured I would need to cut the strap but the classic, longer-length dive strap is true to the design you are looking for in a tropic strap and will come in handy if you ever need to wear the watch over a thicker wetsuit or coat. My only (minor) complaint would be that the included springbars don't fit snugly within the strap itself so there is some play. I don't think you would need to worry about security, as they are good bars, but a snugger fit would bring peace of mind. I'm going to replace them with the bars of my stock strap for a snug fit. All in all, 9/10 for the strap overall. 10/10 for value, given the quality, comfort and style of the strap at this price point. I own the "name brand" Tropic strap that typically sells for close to $100, and I've also tried several other brands that emulate the classic Tropic style, and this is actually better than most of them. It actually feels better on the wrist than the name brand. The FKM rubber is thick and dense, yet soft and pliable. It isn't silicone rubber, so it won't pick up dust and doesn't get sticky during the day. The basket weave pattern is perfect, and the ridged edging is exactly like the classic Tropic strap from the 1960s. Nothing is cheap here in terms of construction of the strap, and it fits well, in addition to being comfortable. For $29 you're getting something premium. My only two complaints are that it is a bit long (I wish it was the typical 120/80 size instead of the regular diver size of 130/78) and I wish the buckle was more robust. As I said before, this is a thick strap, so it probably needs a more heavy duty buckling system. But the buckle it comes with does the job good enough.
