Easy branch removing
Quickly and easily cut through a number of high up branches on trees in our back yard. Made the process of getting them away from the house easy. The chain is sharp and seems well made. We removed 5 very large branches with this. The hardest part was thowing the weighted bag. Recommend for DIY tree branch removal.

Good saw
This is a good saw. Using it saved some big bucks. I had a 6 inch thick limb about 20 feet in the air that needed to come down. It took a few tries to throw a weight over the limb into a fairly tight space, but it was not hard. A few strokes with my wife of one side and me on the other did the job.

Useful
This is a great little kit - thoughtfully packaged, great compliment of accessories, and useful.I used this to trim a limb that had half-fallen - it split but didn't break free. I had a hard time with the saw as it bound -- easily. I suspect that was largely due to the soft, fresh wood that I was cutting and the jagged edge. I suspect it would have done a lot better on a harder, older, and drier wood.Regardless, this kit saved my butt - I was able to make the cut, fall the limb, and get it all cleaned up on my own.

Tough and well put together
Product came in great packaging and ate straight threw the branches needed. It also is great for getting tall beaches without actually getting up on a tree.

It did the job!
Works better than expected. It did take a bit of arm work to saw thru the limb, but that was probably more based on our strength than its sharpness.

Did not come as advertised. safety concern.
**Update 3/24/25** I reached out directly to the company and they immediately sent out a replacement and stated that it "will include all the correct components as listed on our Amazon product page". And that they did, but they also changed the images on their product page to remove these safer locking links. See the attached with before and after photos. While I commend them on attempting to make it right, this comes off as sketchy and not in the best interests of the customer. At this time I can't recommend this saw as it is too easy for the carabiner clips to accidently lock over a branch making it difficult if not impossible to retrieve. If this were to occur midway through sawing a branch then you could potentially be left with a partially sawn branch that could break and fall at an inopportune time. Because of their sending out a replacement that is inferior and altering their product description to match that, I am dropping the rating down from a 2 to a 1 star. This not only is a safety issue, but one that appears they are trying to hide.At first I liked this saw. Simple and cut well. Mine did not come as advertised though. It had 4 carabiners, when the product description shows it comes with 2 carabiners and 2 quick links. I didn't think much of this until I tried to cut a branch down and as I pulled the saw up the carabiner locked itself onto a branch. The branch was relatively thin so the carabiner clip slid right onto it. Thankfully, with it being thin I was able to use a pole to push the carabiner up the branch far enough to be able to bend it down and pull the carabiner off, but this took well over an hour of work. I will not be using this as is and don't suggest using it if you do not have the lockable links to use around chain. Heck, even around the weight bags, as they could easily get caught this way too.I contacted the company but have not heard back yet. I'm giving this a 2 star as it worked, but did not come as advertised, I will update after I heard back from the company.

Chain and rope is all you need
Did a lot of cutting years back with a similar product. Got it out of storage a few weeks ago and used it with my son for the day and we determined it could use a sharpening. The service center I brought it to couldn’t sharpen a double sided saw so I figure it was worth buying a new one. I bought the whole kit as it was just $10-$15 more than chainsaw only. The case is nice! I’m not sure how to go about using the sharpener. Do I hold the chain in a vice grip and assist every couple inches until finished. Seems like a huge waste of time. Buy a new one if someone can’t sharpen it for me for $4. The handles are rather pointless as each branch you cut will require them to be at a different position. Even while working on a single branch, if it’s thick you may want to adjust the distance or angle of your stance for comfort and effectiveness thereby needing the position of the handles changed. Others wrote that they were cheap and broke on first use. I don’t even bother with them. Pointless. I suppose for shipping cost this kits come with two big bags to fill on your own. They seem awkwardly sized to throw far. I used my 10oz throw weight from my old chain. Can’t imagine wanting to use those bags over it. Finally, probably the most significant thing I found with this kit, the rope is a good quality that I’ve used for several branches before showing signs of wear. But. I found out quickly that for higher branches, it’s too heavy. I’ve been using a lighter weight rope to through as I can’t get much more distance and then tying the included rope up with it. Also. They lie when they say it won’t get stuck! Lol. It’s the nature of the project. The instructions say to take breaks but that’s dangerous business. Often when you get into a rhythm of cutting and then stop for whatever reason, your inviting a jam. Its usually when your getting to the end of a cut because at that point very little of the chain saw is doing any work. You’ve got just a small portion of it wrapped around what’s left to cut so it binds up. Nature of the beast. Can be a real pain to get things tossed just where you need the chain places and deal with the jams, but I can’t afford a professional.
