Wow really 120 watts
I have used their similar model of 40 watts for quite some time. I really didn’t believe this was a 120 watts until I tried it. Soldered 6 gauge cable to joiners with ease. The way it solders reminds me of those big old 200 watt wellers with the trigger. Just dial it down to 500 degrees or so for smaller electronic components. Great buy!!

Works a treat
Slightly disappointed with no sponge tray but not what I was going to use the soldering iron for anyway. Works exceptionally well as a nylon melter with some hakko blade tips. Clean up and finish frayed nylon and keep it from further fraying without ask much risk of burning the material up with a lighter. The temp control dial is more fine than I was thinking, had assumed it was simply a binary temp control of low and high, but seems pretty good for what I need

Convenient!
I had a cheapo soldering iron with no temp control for a while. Cables were getting everywhere at my workstation so I found this one in my search. The temp control is great because I got this for fixing up 3d prints and the lowest setting is juuuuust right for careful ironing of messy areas. Been using it sparingly on a single charge of one of my batteries and haven’t needed to recharge yet.

Great iron with good portability
If you already have an extra Ryobi batteries this is a great value. It gets way hotter than your average all-in-one battery powered solder iron.
