Review: Hobby work - I have been using this framing nailer for projects here and there over the last year and have been impressed with the reliability and convenience of this tool. I used it redecking the roof on my house, framing a dog kennel, and building a few walls. The power is sufficient enough to drive into the old oak lumber in my house adding studs or walls where needed. The 2.0ah batteries last ok but if your up on the roof I suggest opting for the 4.0ah batteries. They have a good life but I apologize that I didn't pay more attention to the time to give a more accurate analysis. I have run almost 2000 nails through this and have only had 1 nail bend that I had to take the head apart to get it out. I have had a hand full of nails that didn't drive all the way and some of those was because I was trying to nail to fast or didn't have sufficient pressure against the nailer. I don't know if I would get this if I needed to frame all day every day but it works fantastic for projects around the house or especially out on the property away from the house. The price was steep for something you don't use often but when looking at other red or yellow models this one has better deals making it a better value. All in all I would highly recommend this nailer and when or if the time comes I need to replace it, I will be getting this one again.
Review: Get it. It is as good as it gets. - I'm a retired general contractor. I have many pneumatic nail guns. I needed this gun because I didn't have enough power to run my compressor at a distant location of my property. This nailer is 99% perfect. It works perfect, it is as heavy as one of my old brutal Hitachi gun. I used this gun a lot and I still on the first charge. It does not turns of automatically for a long time. I saw some complains about it. I guess they fixed it. Minus 1% is because it is very hard to see the super tiny LED lights on the control panel.

**Q: Will this gun dry fire? I just bought it and charged the battery but it doesnt fire. Does it have to have nails in it to fire?**
A: No it will not, nor should you try to dry-fire a nail gun. It's generally very bad on the tool.
It requires about three or four nails in it to fire, depending on the size of the nail. Which means that once you us it, the gun is NOT EMPTY just because it won't fire the last nail or two; there is every chance that if you drop it or kick it out of the way it will manage to fire one of the remaining nails. Always treat this nail gun and any other nail gun like it's ready to fire.

**Q: Garantia pistola**
A: We offer a 60 day warranty. Hitachi offers a one year from date of purchase. All warranty issues after the first 60 days must go directly through Hitachi. Have a great day.

**Q: Is it normal the first loaded nail doesn't sit ubder tge drive pin?**
A: You should cut the front plastic of the nails. So it can be triggered. Otherwise you will damage the gun. This happened to me twice. The pin get stocked and will never go up again and I get two blinking yellow lights. I tried resetting it pushing the power and the mode button and will not resolve the issue

**Q: How much better is the 36v gun compared to this 18v IF anyone owns both, As i have the 36 and need a back up.?**
A: I have the 18V gun with both the 18V and the 36V flex battery, both being 4ah. Obviously, my battery doesnt make my gun a 36V nailer. However, I can atest that the 18V hits hard and is a great framing nailer. At full depth, it never leaves a head high. The 36V battery makes it noticeably heavier though. So my guess is, if you get an 18V as a "backup" you're going to appreciate its lighter weight and then use it for everything you can except when hardwoods are stacked thick lol. Hope this helps!

I have been using this framing nailer for projects here and there over the last year and have been impressed with the reliability and convenience of this tool.
