The good, the bad, and the ugly
I'll break this down 3 ways: good, bad, and ugly.Good:It matches my desk, which I assembled first. It was fairly easy to put together. I am not a carpenter by any means and the directions were easy to follow. A few cheeky side notes got a good chuckle.Bad:The plastic cams are just garbage. They are finicky and don't really grab like normal, metal cams do. They definitely need to work on the design flaws. The desk that matches this set has the old metal cams and was a breeze to put together. It really set my level of expectation too high for assembling this piece. While it was easy to put together, it required some creativity on a few of the front pieces.A few boards were warped JUST enough to make the entire front look a bit out of whack (see the ugly below).Plastic is literally holding this entire piece together with a few non-essential screws along the way. Risky business.Ugly:There was damage on one corner that I had to get creative with and fix myself. I was too far into the project to disassemble and return it.The front pieces are a NIGHTMARE to put on the right way. There are 2 front pieces on the top and a middle piece that essentially divides the top and bottom halves (see photos). If you do not line them up with the alignment of the stars, moon, and universe, precisely, exactly and to the .00005 cm, it will leave a gap in the middle. See photos for more explanation. It took me over an hour to get this to line up even remotely close to where it needed to be. The cams WOULD have been a help to pull it all together if they wouldn't have been utter junk to begin with. All in all it is okay. Except the flaws I will see whenever I look at it. Other people seem to like it.

A beautiful piece of furniture
A beautiful piece of furniture. We got it to go with my entire Sauder Harbor View office furniture set and we have had it for almost a year now and it's still holding up beautifully. These photos were taking today so you can see how well it has held up to constant use. It's VERY HEAVY and very great quality build. I recommend this if you're looking for sturdy, heavy duty, beautiful furniture for your home or office.

Nice filing cabinet
I am 66 years old and have put together at least a dozen cabinets and ikea bookcases. The directions for this filing cabinet were not always clear but I figured it out. The major issue was that the holes where the large screws go in were only drilled about halfway! I had to predrill all of them deeper. Keep in mind also that these "screws" are not pointed at the end so you can not advance them without predrilling. Another problem that I ran in to was the 2 supports on either side of the open shelves. With those installed, it was impossible to install the long decorative thin front piece that sits below them. That piece could not be completely screwed in and left huge gaps on either side. I had to remove the side pieces, install the thin front piece and then reinstall the side pieces. It took me about 1 1/2 hours to complete and I am happy with the end result. It's a nice piece of furniture and does not look cheap.

Very nice matching piece
Great piece of furniture, fairly easy to assemble. We have 2 of the corner desks (420474), and love this style and color. The 'wood' is multi-tone, so when it beings to get damaged it will be easy to color in with furniture pens and make the wound disappear. The one weirdness with this item is that the specs show (and in fact, it is) about 3/4 inch taller than the desk. If your intention is to set this directly next to the desk, it will look a bit funny. We have this between the desks and there is about 10" between each item, so the symmetry makes it look OK... but still mystifying why matching pieces would not be the same height. We bought this to use as a printer stand and also for storage. We have a large multi-function Cannon printer, and because this is oversized for a printer stand, it makes the printer look more normal sized. There is a (less expensive) printer stand also, but we decided this was a better fit for us and we're quite happy with it.One disappointment is the weight limit on the file drawer. The hinges are beefy, but the floor of the drawer isn't quite strong enough. It is reinforced, but only once back to front. Hence, you can fit an entire stack of paper on either end of the drward without being anywhere near of the support strut. The file hangers can probably hold more weight because the 'walls' are strong, but the spec is something like 20 pounds. A file drawer that size needs to spec'ed for 50, at least. My intent was to use it to hold my variety of paper, labels, etc. for easy access when printing, but I had to select a subset and I'm only using about 1/4th of the drawer. C'mom Sauder... paper is heavy whether it's hanging in a file or sitting on the bottom of the drawer.

Solid unit and good quality for the price
Solid unit and good quality for the price. Easy to follow step-by-step instructions. The weight of the unit is an advantage over other filing cabinets as there is no tipping with the drawer fully extended.
