The main benefit is in the packing - I found it kept items in place and not sliding around in the suitcase; all undies together, space for more shirts/tops rolled up and then could place trousers or skirts on top of the cubes. The second benefit is if I have any doubts about the cleanliness of the drawers in the hotel I simply leave everything in the cubes and place the cubes in the the drawer. **Q: Are the large cubes [51.6 x 48 x 3 cm] or [44 x 32 x 8 cm]? Conflicting sets of dimensions are given in the description.** A: I can't see a reference to the larger size but I assume that's the package size as the cubes are 44x32x8. **Q: What are the dimensions of the slim packing ube** A: Approx 1ft x 4 inch **Q: Are these suitable for Backpack use?** A: You can fit 2 of them in a 30l backpack.
