Easy locking mechanism!
I just received these Bosch Clear Advantage Beam wipers, and I have to say, I love them already. I have no idea yet how they'll perform for the coming winter, so keep in mind that this review is not an evaluation of the wipers' performance. What I really like about them is their design, and I'm willing to give them five stars for that alone. My last pair of windshield wipers came from Valeo, and the two pairs before that were Ford OEM. All three of these sets hooked onto my car's hook-type attachments with a vengeance. See, all three of these blade sets had one thing in common: they used locking mechanisms to keep my windshield blades in place on the hooks. That's all well and good for when you're flying down the highway at 70 miles per hour, but man alive those blades were difficult to remove when it came time to replace them. Each of them used a different, complicated locking mechanism than the last, and because each pair lasted a year or longer, by the time I had to replace them, I had completely forgotten how I put them on in the first place. Those wipers did their jobs well, but this installation and uninstallation nonsense has been an annual annoyance for me for years. No longer! Bosch's smart design keeps the blade on the hook by a special lever. The force of the wiper arm against the windshield keeps a small plastic contraption on the underside of the unit pushed into place, securing the blade as long as the windshield wiper is up against the windshield. Time to replace the blades? No problem! Just lift the arm off the windshield, and the blade will slide right off the hook due to the pressure being relieved from the locking arm mechanism! No more clips or weird locking systems to figure out! When it comes time to replace these, it'll take five minutes and won't require checking YouTube for instructions. While I've only been using these wipers for a few days, I'm happy to report they look high quality and work as expected. Time will tell their durability.

Skeptical at first, but now I am a believer!
I have heard so many bad things about beam wiper blades, so I had been staying away from them. My factory wiper blades were the best, streak-free and quiet, they lasted for about a year. And then I switched to Rain-X Weatherbeaters. They were not bad, performed well, but the rubber failed in less than a year and they did require more cleaning. I know that you're supposed to replace them every 6 months or so, but I usually love stretching their lifespan and testing out the 1.5 safety factors. And then there's Michelin, I will never get Michelin again because they were noisy from day 1, and could not keep the blade consistently on the screen, after about 6-7 months, I gave up and I switched to this one, a beam blade which I did not really want to get into. And I didn't know what I was missing out! These are great, a little more expensive but great. I am hoping that they will last at least a year but we will see. My criteria is simple : Streak free, quiet, lasts more than a year, and doesn't require a lot of cleaning. I will update this review again when I am replacing them.

Great Value. Even Better Performance.
I am VERY happy with these wiper blades. They are a great value! Cost: The same or cheaper than other blades. Fantastic value for what you are paying. Performance: Installation was a breeze. No issues at all installing these blades and they are a lot les chunky than other metal framed blades. They hug the windshield nicely and left absolutely no streaks. I replaced these before a road trip and it rained all 4 days that I was driving. I was happy with the performance the entire trip. Even with all the nasty dirt and bugs from the trip, the blades never left a streak or smudge. Next time I need blades, I will be replacing with the same.
