Wow! These are easily KZ's best to date. I would describe them as a more refined version of the ZS10 Pro. Very full and detailed mids. Guitars sound great. No sibilance, very smooth. Mids are not recessed. Not quite the typical KZ bass you might expect. These have plenty of bass, gobs of glorious bass, but it is very nuanced and controlled. Upper bass is very controlled like a good balanced armature would make, but the lower bass has much more authority. These sneak up on you with the smooth, polite upper bass and then when the track calls for it, there is effortless sub bass that hits hard but stays articulate. I have been hearing extreme low frequency bass that I never knew existed in tracks! Soundstage is good. Maybe not the largest but I suspect that they are just reflecting how the track was recorded and not hyping the treble to artificially enhance it. They sound big when the recording sounds big. Imaging is excellent. To sum things up... They just sound natural and detailed. Highs are sparkly and airy. None of that lower treble harshness I have sometimes complained about with KZ's earlier iems. Just silky smooth highs. KZ's best earphone to date in my opinion. No ugly peaks or valleys. Nice. Basically, a more refined ZS 10 pro. Hope it helps you guys to find your ideal iem. You can't go wrong with these! Michael

I am comparing this against the 1More triple driver earphones / IEM. This is not an apples to oranges comparison because this has twice as many drivers as the 1More but this is the closest that I have. Observations: 1. Great soundstage and noise isolation once you install foam eartips. ASIN B0188GNFF4. 2. Respond very well to equalizer, THC, Dolby, etc. 3. Midrange is good but not as good as the 1More. That's where the equalizer comes in. 4. Treble is a overwhelming out of the box, but a short burn in and some equalizer tuning really helps. mynoise dot net, find white noise and co. 5. These are a bit heavy and combined with the loud treble, it does get fatiguing to wear them for long periods of time. 6. Not a big fan of the cable design as they get tangled up a lot. I can always replace the cables, so it's not a big deal. 7. Microphone quality is good and it does not look like it will come apart anytime. 8. I've found that this pair responds really very well to a high quality DAC and Amplifier. Now all I need is a good carrying case.
