Very good set, but with issues
Very good set that took many hours to build. If I could, I would've given this a 3.5 star rating, but I've rounded it up to 4 stars. Multiple issues and missing pieces kept this from being 5 stars for me. When I received the set, I notice how many times this box was sealed/resealed. That didn't look good. For something that got this many quality checks, it shouldn't have any issues. The set is divided into 7 sections. All bags are numbered and organized into 5 boxes. Each section took roughly 3 hours each. A couple sections under that, but most over that. I didn't time it exactly, but it was a rough estimate. So thats about 21 hours to complete and I'd say I spent at least an hour or so trying to find missing pieces and dealing with issues. When complete, the set measures roughly at 24" in length, 11" in width, and 6" in height at furthest points like side mirror to side mirror instead of driver side front wheel to passenger side front wheel. The product description says the completed set measures exactly 23.5 x 10.7 x5.3 inches. In total, I came across about 9 missing pieces. Some of those, I had to grab from other sets, the others I just ended up using something else from the extras. Unfortunately, I didn't have an extra for one of those. I've attached an image that shows the piece (circled in red) that I could not find nor replace. The set has alot of extra pieces left over. The instructions aren't perfect either. I’ve attached a photo that shows a piece in the instruction that you need, but the piece you get looks similar to it. You are actually supposed to use this piece because there are no other pieces like it in those bags. Whats even more annoying is that that actually piece does exist, just in different sections. A few sections aren't very clear when putting pieces together. Like it'll show you to connect sections at 2 points, but there are more points that need to connect as you do this or else the gears/parts won't function correctly.Speaking of putting sections together, when you get to the end where you connect all the sections together, it is not so fun. As I said previously, the instructions only tells you where to connect/line up certain pieces, but not everything. In other technic sets, theres are these rectangular frame pieces but for some reason, this set decided to divide that one big piece into 2. Doing so made it even hard to connect these massive section with each other other because they won’t always line up perfectly. The overall design of the car is great, but I did have to improve on a few things to secure the pieces better. The headrest would occasionally pop off. The tail lights would pop off as well. Adding a piece or two kept them from falling. Thinking more about it, there are a few more sections that tend to pop off. This isn’t because it’s an off-brand set, its because some parts just need to more than 2 connection points. As I wrote this long review out, I’ve decided to knock a few more points off and just round it down to 3 stars instead of the original 4 after realizing how many issues this set has. All in all, its a very good set, but I would recommend not playing with it since to me, its is more of a display piece than a play piece.

Good for spare parts. Kind of
I have been building “technic” kits for quite some time. I was looking for a cheaper alternative to LEGOs. So I thought I would try this kit.It is very frustrating to build. The motor, transmission and interior were quite satisfying to assemble. The trouble comes when attempting to build the exterior components. This kit shows why it is half the price of the big named kits with its inconsistent manufacturing of parts. Especially obvious with the connectors. Many of which I had to sand down the ridges in order to facilitate assembly. In the end, and before I could complete this kit, I disassembled it and tossed it in a box.The color variation from part to part was horrible. The instructions were often vague and confusing. Again, especially with the exterior assembly.
