The tube is inside a sealed box with an expiration date two years out stamped on the bottom. The tube has a screw off sponge applicator wand for using on your cheeks. The instructions caution not to use the wand directly on your lips and to transfer from wand to a brush for application. The thick green blush is the consistent of a gloss and simply dab on each cheek and blend with your fingers or brush. It spread and blended easily and the green color quickly turns into a pretty soft natural pink shade. I also applied it to my lips and changed to the same color. Compared to prestige brands ph changing blush this performs equally as well. I like the liquid blush in a tube as portable for travel.
