In comparison to dollar store pom poms, they stay puffed in sphere shape and don’t smash down. Their texture is much more like wool felt than a bundle of yarn or fur, which makes them awesome for sewing. I used them for a garland and was able to easily sew embroidery floss right through them with a needle and didn’t need any glue to keep them firmly on the thread. I liked the effect so much I made several necklaces by sewing, and even the tiniest 6mm pom poms threaded on like a soft bead and stayed put.
