Having tried and failed at making poached eggs in the traditional way I thought I'd purchase a dedicated pan. I have three children who love eggs in most forms so I wanted a four egg pan as minimum. As a bonus I now have a perfect 1-child omelette pan.It's build quality is distinctly average; The lid doesn't fit snuggly, the plastic parts fell very cheap. Particularly poor is the holder for the poaching inserts which is now, after about ten uses, incredibly tarnished.But, it makes great poached eggs. A few tips: only put about a three millimetres of water; use a medium-high heat; wait until condensation has developed on the inside of the lid before putting the eggs in, oiling is not essential but it does help, remove with a large plastic spoon. Most importantly do not allow the egg to mix with the water. This will cause the water to bubble over and ruin everything. Also, the poaching inserts are too small to take large eggs.Overall, I am incredibly happy with the purchase although I suspect it wont last that long. At this price I would thoroughly recommend.

Good quality , does the job its intended for , one small criticism, there should be a handle of some sort in the centre of the tray to lift out all four cups away from the steam & the heat . There isn't , so the only way to get your poached eggs out is to remove them one at a time from the pan with the hot water directly below them . The handles on the cups get very hot & can burn your fingers , hence only four stars.

The pan and egg cups are well made and do a great job of cooking the eggs. You will need to keep an eye on the cooking progress as it is easy to forget about the pan and end up overcooking the eggs - unless you like hard centred poached eggs. I am sure it does a good job of cooking omelettes too but I have not tried it yet.

A decent-sized four egg poacher is let down by lack of attention to detail and mediocre quality control. I returned the first one because the cup-holder was scratched and slightly mis-shapen. In the replacement, the same plate has an edge sharp enough to cut your finger.Water tends to boil-up through the steam vents unless you are very attentive to the cooking!

Egg poacher good quality and works well. But there is no centre knob provided to lift out the inner plate which holds the cups, even though there is a hole for it. I put in a home made knob but it does not match those on the cups. Was this an omission in production?

this is a good product and does what it says on the label! good non stick surface so really good as an omelette pan. beware though as the inside of the aluminum tray that the cups sit in are extremely sharp. I nearly cut my finger when cleaning so rounded off the edges with a file. good product but be careful.

I bought this as flat warming present for my poached egg loving niece. She is delighted with it. It's a nice solid pan, quite weighty and the eggs just slide out of the poaching pans. A very good buy for the price.

Bought this egg poacher as my husband and I are trying to eat healthier! Really pleased with this product, easy to use and to clean due to the non stick coating. Also serves as a omelette pan, excellent!!
