President DIGIMIKE Microphone with Noise Reduction Circuit (NRC)

Sounds great ,cuts a lot of the background noise .Perfect feel and weight.

I bought one to review on my website and was surprised how much difference it makes in cancelling background noise, and yet, while NOT a power microphone the audio is crisp and loud. If you're familiar with DSP on a radio, it's like that - only for a microphone. I leave mine set to 1 to avoid the slightly watery sound that DSP can produce as it's increased. I've found that I receive excellent audio reports, and no one thus far has asked me to "turn up my audio" yet, so I think that between this, it's balanced weight, and how it feels in the hand, this microphone beats the crap that ASTATIC is selling today (don't get me wrong, up until the 90's they were a really good company - now bought out, and made cheaply using the ASTATIC name to lure in buyers (if Astatic was still the great company they used to be, we would have seen new and improved models over the last 20+ years ago). The Lime Green PTT switch was kinda ugly at first, but it surely makes the microphone easy to find amongst of nest of mics, due to it's color. I now own 3 of these hand mics - on my McKinley and 2 other President radios (I think it will work on 6-pin Unidens (another great name, now made cheaply) but I don't own one to see if it's true. The best you can do is to buy the mic and try it for a few days. Ask your buddies on the air how it sounds, and if you don't like it, return it before 10 days). P.S - On my President FCC I use the mic set to one for transmit audio, then use the circuit inside the President (same thing) to play around with my receive settings (sometimes having to go a little higher, depending on band conditions). A President radio matched with this mic is (IMHO) the perfect combination!

Fast shipping good packaging. As for the mike, it was like night and day compared to the stock. The modulation was a big step up, from stock, it was installed in a mack truck with plenty of back ground noise that was heard on the stock mic, but not on the Digimike. Great product that I recommend to anyone with the president Washington radio. Big thanks to the seller!!!!! And to president radio products...... and that's all I got to say about that..........

It's a very good microphone. It feels well in the hand it operates very well with the radio I have it plugged in with a real great asset, thank you, President Radio Electronics.

President brags on their lightweight stock mics, and they sound good, but the ultra lightweight of the stocker is really disconcerting for me as I for decades have used noise cancelling power mics from Radio Shack, Road Devil, Cobra etc... The stocker does a reasonable but not great job of rejecting ambient noises and driving an old camper van with a straight six engine, I have LOTS of ambient noises to reject. I get good clean reports at highway speed people always seem to think I am either stationary in a mobile, or on a base station and are shocked that any mobile can sound this good at highway speed. I have this paired up with a President McKinley II FCC and the two of them combined make one heck of a great CB radio setup!

Ich habe mich für das President Digi Mike entschieden, da ich nur gutes darüber gehört hatte, sowohl auf Youtube als auch sonst im Internet. Eines vorweg, es handelt sich nicht um ein Verstärker Mike, wer das sucht ist hier falsch. Was macht das Digi Mike so gut? Zum einen hat es einen sehr guten Übertragungsbereich, besser als alle beiliegenden Mikes. Es gibt sehr viele YouTube Videos, auf welchen am Messplatz sehr schön die sehr saubere und bessere Übertragung zu sehen ist. In Praxis Tests von mir war es genauso. Kollegen haben mir im Vergleich zum Original Mike einen besseren Klang bestätigt. Der nächste Punkt welcher ebenfalls die Vorteile des Digi Mikes ausspielt ist die Sendeseitige NRC „Noise Reduction Control“ d.h. man kann aus 5 verschiedenen Stufen auswählen. Was bringt das? Alle Hintergrund Geräusche werden komplett weg gefiltert!! Man kann diese Funktionen direkt am Mike einstellen, somit relativ komfortabel. Das Mike liegt auch sehr gut in der Hand, etwas schwerer als die meisten Mikes aber auf keinen Fall störend. Ich habe das Mike an meiner George 2 getestet, jetzt werden viele sagen, die hat doch NRC sowohl sendeseitig als auch beim Empfang. Richtig, aber das Mike klingt besser. Ich habe NRC sendeseitig meist aus, sofern nicht im Hintergrund Lärm ist. Das Mike soll in einem Abstand von 10 cm besprochen werden! Bitte daran halten sonst macht es zu . Das Mike liefert meiner Meinung nach sehr hochwertiges Audio. Es ist natürlich relativ teuer, aber bei neueren CB-Geräten bringt ein Verstärker Mike meist nix, da diese dann dicht machen. Das Digi Mike spielt optimal an President Geräten und die up- und down-Tasten am Mike sowie der Mike Stecker passen dann out of the Box :-). Im Auto mit den ganzen Nebengeräuschen, spielt es seine Vorteile natürlich perfekt aus und ist jedem anderen Mike deutlich überlegen. Sollte es einmal günstiger erhältlich sein, werde ich mir noch eines fürs Auto holen. ;-)

The President Digi-mike works & sounds excellent on all my President transceivers, the clarity and speech articulation is a step up from the standard microphone. Built in noise reduction is in steps which is a handy facility if your driving a truck or a van, as its design ensures that the background noise are phased out in ratio to the level set. Robust and well made, with an excellent long flexible microphone cord. I loved the overall microphones performance I bought another, and when I buy the President George 2 I will buy a third lol. One happy Radio Ham.
