You can only see the difference if you place them on top of each other. So take a look at the photo where a common design feature is shown for both a grey towel and a mauve towel. In this photo one towel is placed on top of another and you can see a difference. But that difference is inconsequential, at least to me. The bottom line for me is that these are wonderful stylish towels available at a decent price. What more could you want? They are made of 90% cotton/10% polyester, so not terry cloth like a regular towel. I ordered the baby blue and white. The color is vivid, as pictured, and they are ample in size. I would describe them as a heavy cotton, but not stiff. I ordered them for a trip to Hawaii knowing we would have limited space in our luggage, and they will pack nicely. The washing instructions said to wash in cold water on delicate cycle and tumble dry low, but I washed in warm water on regular cycle and put them in the dryer for several minutes until the wrinkles came out, then removed to air dry fully. They dried fast and turned out beautifully!
